Mark Ballas Hopes for ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Partnership with ‘Traitors’ Co-Star Rob Rausch

Mark Ballas, a celebrated professional dancer from Dancing With The Stars, has expressed interest in partnering with Rob Rausch, a former contestant on Love Island USA, for an upcoming season of the popular dance competition. Both Ballas and Rausch are currently featured on season 4 of The Traitors, albeit on opposing sides—Ballas as a Faithful and Rausch as a secret Traitor.

Ballas boasts an impressive track record on Dancing With The Stars, having secured the championship three times: first with Kristi Yamaguchi in season 6, then with Shawn Johnson in season 8, and most recently with Charli D’Amelio in season 31. In the show’s 34th season in 2025, he finished in sixth place alongside partner Whitney Leavitt. Additionally, Ballas has been a runner-up in four different seasons—14, 19, 22, and 25—dancing with partners such as Katherine Jenkins, Sadie Robertson, Paige VanZant, and Lindsey Stirling.

Mark recently took to Instagram to share a clip from the Dancing With The Stars tour. In the video, fellow dancer Ezra Sosa is seen holding a sign that reads, “Rob Rausch 4 DWTS.” Accompanying this clip, Ballas posted a video of himself holding one of his Len Goodman Mirrorball trophies, nodding in agreement and gesturing with enthusiasm.

Mark Ballas Wants His Traitors Season 4 Co-Star Rob Rausch On Dancing With The Stars

In an Instagram post, Mark shared a video of his fellow Dancing With The Stars pro Ezra Sosa holding up a sign on stage during the DWTS tour that read, “Rob Rausch 4 DWTS.” Next to the clip, Mark included a video of himself with one of his Len Goodman Mirrorball trophies, nodding his head yes and pointing.

Mark captioned the videos, “Let’s go @RobertRausch. I’ll take good care of you even tho you’re a TRAITOR!” Mark also referred to the Dancing With The Stars trophy, writing, “Let’s see if you can trade that dagger in for one of these.” The dagger was a reference to The Traitors. Mark captioned the post, “RHINESTONE OVERALLS ANYONE?,” referring to the denim overalls that snake wrangler Rob wears as his signature style.

Rob Seems Open To Joining Dancing With The Stars & Mark Wants To Dance With Him

In the comments section of Mark’s post, Rob responded with, “Give me some tips.” Mark replied, “One of our girls will take good care of you unless… you want to dance with me [wink emoji].”

Rob’s fans flooded the comments section with pleas for him to join the show, gushing about how epic it would be to see him take to the Dancing With The Stars ballroom. One fan wrote, “PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN MARK,” while another said, “dancing to ‘murder on the dance floor’ in the sparkly overalls with disco ball snakes.” Another fan had an idea for a dance for the snake wrangler, writing, “pleaseeee do this and have one of your dances to Britney Spears’ [I’m a Slave 4 U] and wear a python around your neck.”

Rob is the heartthrob of The Traitors season 4, but he’s also admired for his incredibly strategic gameplay. The same was true of The Traitors season 3’s Dylan Efron, and he competed in Dancing With The Stars season 34 right after his winning Traitors run. Dylan made it to the Dancing With The Stars finale, and placed fourth with his professional dance partner Daniella Karagach. Perhaps Rob can follow in Dylan’s footsteps by winning The Traitors, and then showcasing his dance moves on Dancing With The Stars.
