Mary Cosby and Angie Katsanevas‘ close-knit friendship was faced with some drama amid filming on the upcoming sixth season of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.

As fans await the highly anticipated trailer for the new episodes, the cast attended the Las Culturalistas Culture Awards, where they spoke of their relationships with one another, looked back on a cast trip, and more.

“Right now, we’re in a rough spot,” Mary, 52, told Betches of her and Angie, 51, on July 17. “She can get on my nerves a little bit, and I probably get on hers … [But we’ll] always be thick as thieves.”

“It’s a real friendship and we always work through it,” Angie agreed. “[We’re] learning and growing and becoming more honest with each other, and when you do that, you are going to have disagreements.”

Months after their season six cast trip, reportedly to Greece, Bronwyn Newport, 39, said there were “so many amazing [moments],” but her “favorite part no matter where [they] go or what season, is always, it’s so much more fun to film than it looks on the show.”

“There was one day where we had a very quintessential tourist … experience … [It] was just a core memory forever,” added Heather Gay, 51.

Meanwhile, Meredith Marks, 53, said it was a “hard trip,” explaining that “quite a few people” made her want to disengage because there were “a lot of lies.” On the flip side, Meredith noted that she learned “a lot about her and her family history” and got to “a much better place” with Mary.

When asked who brought the receipts to the new episodes, Heather confirmed Bronwyn was “queen of receipts” with some “major” reveals.

“Look at Heather giving me compliments and me blushing. Maybe new things are coming this season,” Bronwyn said in response. “You’ll see an evolution this season. I definitely have moments where I fight back, and you have to have receipts if you’re going to fight back.”

Although Heather went on to reveal that she and Angie were “neck and neck,” she added that “[Whitney Rose] throws her hat in the ring this season too.”

As for Lisa Barlow, 50, who Meredith described as the most honest of the cast (aside from herself), Mary said she was giving “little girl” energy throughout production.

Also at the awards show, after admitting that season five taught her to “be herself,” Britani Bateman, 54, joked that she “may have, maybe” stopped by Angie’s salon for tips after their “high body count” feud and said that “something more beautiful” emerged between them amid season six.

Britani also shared an update on her relationship with her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Jared Osmond, 54.

“Last season, Jared and I were all over the place, and you get to see a little bit of that this season. Right now we’re broken up, but ask me tomorrow, it might be different,” she admitted.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season six is expected to premiere on Bravo sometime later this year or early next year.
