Fans who love dating reality TV shows like 90 Day Fiancé and Married at First Sight might remember a TLC show called Match Me Abroad which first aired in 2023. The series followed single Americans as they traveled overseas to work with expert matchmakers in search of true love.

The show is returning for a second season, featuring a new group of American singles — along with one familiar face from Season 1 — as they search for love in Ireland, Singapore, and Brazil. They’ll put their lives in the hands of expert matchmakers in each country, hoping to finally find their forever partners. Here’s what we know about the new season and when it will premiere.

What We Know About TLC’s Match Me Abroad Season 2, Including The Six Americans Looking For Love Overseas

TLC’s Match Me Abroad is back for a second season, and a new teaser trailer gives fans a sneak peek at what’s to come as six Americans travel to three different countries in search of love — and face even more drama as they meet their potential international partners.

The show focuses on single people who have had bad luck with finding partners in the U.S., so they hope that finding a partner in another country will be their best bet. Season 2 will spotlight Ireland, Brazil, and Singapore, with each country featuring a unique matchmaking expert who knows the local culture well enough to help pair the Americans with promising love matches.

The three experts for Season 2 include the return of Katarina Měmcová, who will be helping those looking for love in Ireland. There will be two new experts who will be replacing Season 1’s Juan Nino and Nina Kharoufeh: Dolly is the matchmaking expert in Singapore, while Luiza will guide Americans looking for a partner in Brazil.

Who Are The Six Americans Looking For Love In Ireland, Brazil, And Singapore In Season 2?

In the Season 2 trailer, fans are first introduced to a woman named Monica who is a single mom and searching for her future partner in Brazil. It seemed that the matchmaker did a great job as she was seen passionately kissing two men. “Brazilian men are the finest, hottest men alive,” she shares. “I’ve decided to try my luck in Brazil.”

“I have been in Brazil for only a week and I’m falling in love,” Monica says. “…With two men. This is awesome!”

Fans then meet a woman named Amber, who flies out to Ireland to search for a husband. “I know my husband’s waiting in Ireland like a big ol’ put of gold,” she shares.

In one tense moment, Amber’s date takes a sharp turn when he accuses her of calling him an “attention whore” and a “liar.” After he blurts out, “No wonder you’re single,” Amber slaps the Guinness out of his hand and storms off — proving this season is packed with just as much drama as ever.

We also see the return of Harold, who flew to Singapore, hoping that Dolly will guide him in finding the perfect match. Harold was unsuccessful in love in Season 1, and the trailer suggests that he may have struck lucky, despite having to forgo chicken nuggets for more traditional foods.

Lastly, we are also introduced to a woman named Victoria who is also looking for a partner in Ireland. “I have been on 75 first dates in the United States,” Victoria admits. “I know that Irish men are like crazy, fun, spontaneous. That’s what I want.” However, one potential match may be just a little too spontaneous after he decides to put hot sauce in his eye.

What Happened To The Season 1 Singles?

Via: YouTube/TLC

Season 1 of Match Me Abroad featured seven singles who were searching for their perfect match in Prague, Colombia, and Morocco. Those who traveled to Prague included Harold and Michelle, who worked alongside matchmaker Katarina, who is returning for Season 2 in Ireland. Harold and his match, Michaela, were not a perfect pairing, but things appeared to be going well for Michelle and her match, Pavol. According to an update from inTouch Weekly, after the season ended in August 2023, Michelle returned to Europe to see Pavol.

Sharing photos of her trip, she captioned her Instagram post: “And, being normal people, we got to do a big ‘ol lunch, sample some beers, make some jokes, take a walk, and REALLY get to talking … you know, more regular human being/date things than dinner in a sex dungeon. We remain pretty private people in our real lives, but have enjoyed taking you along for the ride of how we met!”

Michelle also shared that she was hoping Pavol would meet her in France for another trip in the future.

Matchmaker Juan was responsible for finding matches for Americans Susan, Nathaly, and Chad in Colombia. Susan was matched with a graphic designer named Mauricio and the two hit it off. However, looking at her Instagram, it’s not clear if Susan traveled back to Colombia to see him, but it does appear that her and her dog, Calliope, moved to Florence, Italy.

Nathaly also enjoyed spending time with her match, Alejandro. However, when she learned that he could talk to angels, she was skeptical about him, especially when he shared that he doesn’t tell anyone about this gift because he believes he won’t “get laid.” It does not appear that Nathaly tried to make things work with Alejandro once the show concluded.

Juan also helped Chad match with a woman named Maria in Colombia. However, when he wanted to get engaged after the second date, she pulled away. However, Chad did find love outside the show with a different woman, per a report by inTouch Weekly.

Viewers also met both Mark and Stanika, who both hoped to find love in Morocco with the help of matchmaker Nina. Unfortunately, Mark did not find a perfect match while in Morocco. However, Stanika had better luck and hit it off with a man named Noureddine. During her time there, she even got to meet his family. A month after the show ended, Stanika hinted on Instagram that she and Noureddine were going strong. However, it’s hard to tell whether they are still together.

Hopefully, the American singles for Season 2 will find better luck overseas.

The new season of Match Me Abroad is set to premiere on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at 10 p.m. on TLC.
