There was an unexpected blowup on the most recent episode of Love Is Blind UK that didn’t take place between a couple. Instead, Episode 8 of Netflix’s reality TV show saw an argument between cast members Megan and Javen boil over, with Megan accusing Javen of suspect behavior.
It seems that Megan, wanting to support her friend and fellow cast member Katisha, witnessed what she believed to be sketchy flirting behavior between Javen and several other women. When she went to call him out about it, things came to a head, and serious tears were shed.
Megan Told Katisha About Javen’s Bad Behavior
After the cast got together for drinks in Episode 8, a few of the group members went out even later, after the cameras had stopped rolling. Though Katisha said she was staying in, her fiancé Javen said he still wanted to go out, leaving her alone at their shared apartment.
The next day, chaos ensued when Katisha’s friend and fellow castmate Megan told her that Javen had spent the night flirting with other women. Katisha grew so upset that she wrote Javen a letter saying she was calling off the engagement, packing up and leaving. Infuriated, Javen asked Megan and her partner Kieran to have a conversation to clear the air.
When Javen asked Megan what, exactly, she told Katisha, Megan explained the “uncomfortable behavior” she witnessed from Javen while out at the bar:
You were all over Yolanda. You were all over Aanu. You also mentioned how Sophie is someone you’d like to f*** but you would just leave her.
When Javen claimed that he “never said” those comments, Megan doubled down. “You did! Mate, I don’t care,” she said. “I saw what I saw and told Katisha. Don’t be mad about it. All I think is Katisha deserved to know what you were doing.” Megan became so worked up from the conversation that she stormed off at that point, going out onto the balcony, the cameras capturing her as she sobbed.
Javen Gave A Lame Apology To Kieran
After Megan exited the conversation, Javen offered a lame apology to her partner, telling Kieran that it wasn’t his intention to make her cry. “I apologize for making your misses cry. That was not my intention,” he emphasized, “But I wanted to have this conversation so you guys knew where I stood. That is literally it,” he added.
Kieran stood by his partner, going to comfort Megan and assuring her that she did the right thing by supporting her friend. To the cameras, Megan explained that, while she didn’t appreciate Javen shouting at her, she wasn’t fazed by his words:
I’ve had many arguments with people like Jav who just go over and over the same thing and try and deflect the argument onto the other person, so I had to remove myself from the conversation, because we were going nowhere.
As of this article’s writing, Javen still seems to believe that he didn’t do anything wrong. Even though there have been some question marks about whether he went into a closed photo booth with another woman, Sophie, he’s doubled down that he hasn’t done anything to deserve Katisha calling off the engagement.
As of the most recent episode, Katisha and Javen are still split up, and only time will tell if Katisha will continue to appear on the show. For their part, Megan and Kieran still seem to be going strong. Additional episodes of the season will be on Netflix every Wednesday going forward.
