Meghan King has recently lost custody of her three children, eight-year-old Aspen and seven-year-old twins, Hart and Hayes, to her ex-husband Jim Edmonds. This major development comes following an investigation sparked by the concerns of a school employee who reached out to Child Protective Services (CPS) regarding the former Real Housewives of Orange County star.

Sources revealed to Us Weekly on November 19 that this investigation led to Jim Edmonds, now 55, being granted sole physical custody of their children. Meanwhile, Meghan, 41, has been permitted supervised visitation rights. However, this arrangement is not set in stone, as it remains temporary until a hearing scheduled for early December.

Meghan and Jim, who were married from 2014 until 2019, initially agreed to share custody of their children in May 2021. Despite this arrangement, tensions escalated earlier this year, resulting in the police being called to Jim’s home. This incident occurred after Jim remarried Kortnie O’Connor in September 2022, adding further complexity to the situation.

Multiple sources confirmed the news to Us Weekly on November 19, noting that Meghan was granted supervised visitation and adding that the decision was temporary, pending an early December hearing.

Meghan and Jim, who were married from 2014 until 2019, agreed to share custody of their kids in May 2021. However, in May of this year, things between them took a contentious turn as the cops were called on Meghan after an incident at the home Jim shares with Kortnie O’Connor, whom he married in September 2022.

At that time, it was alleged in a police report that Meghan had gained access to the home after a dispute with Kortnie, who wouldn’t let her inside to talk to Aspen. After Kortnie informed Meghan that the child wasn’t home and requested she leave, the former reality star went inside and started yelling.

Meghan then “wedged her foot in the door,” so Kortnie could not “shut the door completely.”

As noted in the paperwork, Kortnie was listed as the “victim” and initially requested that charges be brought against Meghan. Then, after later declining to press charges, Kortnie filed a petition for a restraining order, and ultimately, Meghan agreed she wouldn’t come near Kortnie or talk about her on social media.

Amid the incident, Meghan accused Jim of being “emotionally abusive.”

“He uses his name to push me around and his money,” she alleged.

In response, Jim’s rep released a statement to Us Weekly.

“As usual, Meghan is telling tales. Her and Jim barely communicate, so if someone is emotionally abusing her, it’s not Jim,” it stated. “Jim is an active and present father to all his children. The unfortunate part of all this is that it’s the kids who suffer the most. Jim has always been willing to coparent in a respectful and productive way however Meghan has yet to reciprocate.”
