Meghan McCain slammed “nepo baby” Violet Affleck’s “patently absurd” call for mask mandates after her impassioned speech at the United Nations.

Violet, 19, urged for post-COVID mask mandates while wearing one of her own on Tuesday and was met with criticism from McCain the following day in a since-deleted post on X.

“Every single thing about all of this is why people hate nepo babies so much,” McCain, 40, wrote alongside a repost of the teen’s speech, referring to the fact that the activist is the eldest child of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner.

“She has no business speaking at the UN and what she is speaking about is patently absurd,” the former “View” co-host concluded. Her post was only up for a few minutes before she took it down, per Entertainment Weekly.

Despite quickly deleting her initial post, the conservative political commentator doubled down on her criticism on Thursday with several posts on X.

“Everything about all of this is why everyone hates nepo babies so much,” she wrote Thursday.

In a separate lengthy post, she challenged journalists “clutching their pearls mad [she] called Violet Affleck a nepo baby” and those who felt her response was hypocritical since she is the daughter of late Senator John McCain, therefore a nepo baby herself.

“First, it takes one to know one” Meghan wrote and urged her opposers to check her X bio where she labels herself a “Nepo baby.”

“Say whatever you want about me, my parents would have NEVER been okay with me speaking in front of the United Nations at 19 about a health issue I had no background, training or experience in,” she continued.

“Having famous parents is a double edged sword and if you’re going to put yourself out there, you gotta take the heat (as I have always done) Finally – anyone advocating that I mask my kids all day in 2025 I think is insane, and that is my right.”

She concluded her pointed message with “Have a nice day.”

Representatives for Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were not immediately available to Page Six for comment.

The Yale University student argued for a mask mandate on Tuesday to combat “unmitigated infection and reinfection.” She also advocated for “clean air infrastructure that is so ubiquitous and so obviously necessary … that tomorrow’s children don’t even know why we need it.”

This is a subject very close to the college freshman since she revealed she “contracted a post-viral condition in 2019″ while advocating for a mask mandate at a Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors meeting last summer.

“I’m OK now, but I saw first-hand that medicine does not always have answers to the consequences of even minor viruses. The COVID-19 pandemic has thrown that into sharper relief,” she shared at the time.

“They do not keep us safer,” she explained. “They make vulnerable members of our community less safe and make everyone less able to participate in Los Angeles together.”

Violet is often photographed wearing a face covering while out with her parents, including while attending Michael Rubin’s annual white party in 2023 with her father and his then-wife Jennifer Lopez.

Meghan, on her part, has been outspoken against COVID-19 restrictions. She called wearing masks “stupid” in a July 2021 episode of the “View” and shamed Americans who still chose to wear masks that May.

“If people want to live in their homes for forever and not go out and you want to wear a mask forever, that’s totally fine,” she said. “I will be living my life and going back to normal, and that is my choice and the greatest freedom of the country that we have.”
