Michelle Obama isn’t shying away from adding some sparkle to her look.

In the latest episode of her podcast, “IMO,” co-hosted with her brother Craig Robinson, Michelle’s new penchant for jewelry became a topic of light-hearted teasing. Craig couldn’t help but rib his sister about her latest fashion statement.

“Since we started this podcast, I’ve noticed you tried to sneak in some ear piercings without me catching on,” he joked. “And now I see you’ve got all these new earrings in your ear.”

The former first lady candidly shared her long-standing interest in ear piercings. “I’ve always considered getting more piercings, but just never got around to it,” she confessed.

Michelle reminisced that she had experimented with a second earring before having children, but admitted, “I just got lazy and stopped wearing it.”

Looking to the younger generation, she was inspired by the shifting ear stack trends, calling them “more of a cluster, a constellation with twinkles.”

Though her intention was to go “in for a few,” she got excited once the process began, telling the piercer, “Oh, put one there and put one [there]. Oh yeah, let’s try one there.”

“So in one sitting, I’ve got 10 piercings,” she concluded.

While her older brother noticed the sparkling additions immediately, it took the Obama’s husband a little bit longer.

“Barack, [it] took him a couple of days,” Obama laughed.

She recalled how, 72 hours, the new additions finally caught the former President’s attention and he argued that she kept her hair down, covering the bling. Obama replied, “I don’t know. I, like, sleep with you every night, dude, you know?”

Obama is currently promoting her new book, “The Look,” and has been candid about what was expected of her style while in office, versus her newfound freedom post-term.

Covering People Magazine this past fall, the former First Lady shared that her more recent shift to wearing her hair in braids is “freedom,” adding, “Braids allow me to get them done, and then that’s one less thing that I have to think about. When I’m out of the public eye, I am swimming, I am playing tennis, and braids represent that kind of freedom for me.”

“I wasn’t sure whether the country was ready for it [while in The White House],” she concluded.
