Miley Cyrus used to be young, but now she’s handling her parents’ new relationships like a grown-up.

The singer shared her feelings on her father Billy Ray Cyrus’ romance with Elizabeth Hurley during Saturday’s episode of the “Interview” podcast, explaining she’s “being an adult” about the situation.

“At first, it’s hard because the little kid in you reacts before the adult in you can go, ‘Yes, that’s your dad, but that’s just another person that deserves to be in his bliss and to be happy,’” she said.

“So my adult self has caught up.”

The “Flowers” hitmaker also confirmed she and her father are no longer estranged after their reunion at her brother Braison’s 31st birthday party earlier this month.

The father-daughter rift reportedly dates back to 2022 when Billy Ray and Miley’s mom, Tish Cyrus, announced they were divorcing after nearly 30 years of marriage.

“I think timing is everything. You know, there’s been enough bridges now of time to get us all reconnected,” the pop star said.

Miley added that she’s had to learn to “[respect] her parents as individuals.”

“My mom’s really loved my dad for her whole life,” she continued. “And I think being married to someone in the music industry and not being a part of it is obviously really hard.”

Miley, 32, admitted that she “took on some of [her] mom’s hurt” during her parents’ breakup.

“But now that my mom is like so in love with my stepdad Dom, who I also just completely adore. And now that my dad, I see him finding happiness outside of that too, I can love them both as individuals instead of as a kind of, you know, a parental pairing,” she said.

Tish married “Prison Break” actor Dominic Purcell in August 2022.

In April, the “Achy Breaky Heart” hitmaker sent shockwaves when he revealed his relationship with the “Austin Powers” actress, 59, over Easter weekend.

In the snap, the two-time Grammy winner, 63, planted a kiss on Hurley’s cheek as she smiled.

A source exclusively told Page Six last month that the couple has “been friends for a long time and both found themselves single at the same time.”

The country music singer’s new relationship came nearly a year after he finalized his contentious divorce from Firerose in August 2024.
