In response, Brown suggested that the show’s writers should start killing off characters, stating that the creators were too sensitive to do so.
“Last night, we couldn’t even take one group picture because there were, like, 50 of us. I was like, you need to start killing people off. The Duffer brothers are two sensitive sallies that don’t want to kill anyone off…”
In a subsequent podcast interview, co-creator Matt Duffer responded to Brown’s comments, acknowledging the challenges of killing off major characters and teasing the possibility of future deaths as the show approaches its end.
Despite this, Brown has expressed her support for the Duffer Brothers and their creative process, emphasizing her faith in their vision for her character Eleven. “I trust the Duffer Brothers and their creative process, and what they’ve seen for Eleven has always been amazing and something I’ve always supported.”
