In a heartfelt appeal to the public, Savannah Guthrie has once again reached out for assistance in locating her missing mother, Nancy Guthrie, who is 84 years old and remains unaccounted for.
On Tuesday, February 24, the Today anchor, 54, posted a new video message on Instagram revealing that the Guthrie family is now offering a reward of up to $1 million for information leading to the recovery of Nancy, whom Savannah acknowledged may be dead.
It’s been 24 days since the unsettling disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, who vanished from her bed under the cover of darkness. Savannah shared with her followers the profound anguish her family has endured, describing each passing moment since February 1 as excruciating.
Expressing gratitude for the outpouring of prayers and support from fans, friends, and followers, Savannah conveyed her family’s enduring hope for a miracle. “We still believe that she can come home,” she shared, emphasizing that “hope begets hope.” Her sister’s words, “we are blowing on the embers of hope,” resonate deeply with the family’s ongoing faith.

Despite their optimism, Savannah confronted the sobering reality that her mother, who relies on daily medication and faces mobility challenges, might have passed away.
“We also know that she may be lost,” Savannah admitted. “She may already be gone. She may have already gone home to the Lord that she loves and is dancing in heaven with her mom, her dad, her beloved brother Pierce, and with our father. If this is what is to be, then we will accept it. But we need to know where she is.” Her words underscore the family’s urgent need for closure, no matter the outcome.
“We need her to come home,” Savannah continued. “For that reason, we are offering a family reward of up to $1 million for any information that leads us to her recovery.”
Though the ongoing search has thus far yielded zero suspects in the case, Savannah noted, “Someone out there knows something that can bring her home. Somebody knows, and we are begging you to please come forward now.”
In addition to the reward money, Savannah said that she and her family are donating $500,000 to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children “for their work in helping families who are coping with loss and are actively looking for those who are lost.”
“We are hoping that the attention that has been given to our mom and our family will extend to all of the families like ours who are in need and need prayers and need support,” she explained. “So please, if you hear this message, if you’ve been waiting and you haven’t been sure, let this be your sign to come forward. Tell what you know and help us bring our beloved mom home so that we can either celebrate a glorious miraculous homecoming or celebrate the beautiful, brave and courageous and noble life that she has lived.”

In the caption of Savannah’s post, she provided the information to the FBI’s reward page. They are offering $100,000 for information leading to the location of Nancy “and/or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance.”
An anonymous donor also reportedly matched the reward amount, which now stands at over $200,000.
Nancy was reported missing on February 1 by family members. Video footage released by authorities show a masked and “armed individual” appearing to tamper with the camera at Nancy’s front door the morning of her disappearance. She is described as 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs around 150 pounds; she has brown hair and blue eyes.
