Tommy Fury was first to enter the villa in Season 5 of Love Island U.K. At first, he expressed having feelings for islander Lucie Donlan, but that all changed when Molly-Mae Hague walked in as a bombshell.

When Tommy first met Molly-Mae on a hot tub date, he was instantly attracted to her. “You are 100% my type,” he tells her. During their conversation, the two learn that they live five minutes away from one another in Manchester. The two had been smitten with one another since their first meeting.

While on the show, Tommy asked Molly-Mae, with the help of her stuffed animal, Ellie Belly, to officially be his girlfriend:

“Dear Mummy. Daddy left me here in his best interests. He wanted me to tell you that you’re his everything. I’m going to leave it with Daddy. So … On a serious note, you know how much you mean to me and you’re the only girl for me. I only want to be with you. Therefore, I was wondering if you wanted to be my girlfriend?”

After spending over a month together inside the villa, the couple placed 2nd, and walked away as a fan-favorite couple.

10 September 2019: The Couple Purchase An Apartment Together

When the show was over, Molly-Mae and Tommy purchased an apartment together in Manchester, England. “We’re both doing marvelous things. We’re both really happy. We’ve bought an apartment in Manchester and we’re going to move in together,” Tommy told The Sun. “We’re both extremely busy, but there to support each other too. It’s amazing”

Tommy focused on his career as a professional boxer, while Molly-Mae continued her work as an influencer. In September 2019, she launched a clothing collection with U.K. fast-fashion retailer, Pretty Little Thing.

For Molly-Mae’s 21st birthday in 2020, the boxer surprised her with a dog the couple named Mr. Chai. Sadly, the pup died just six days later.

9 May 2021: Molly-Mae Slams YouTuber Jake Paul For Sharing An Alleged DM She Sent Him

In May 2021, Tommy challenged Jake Paul, the YouTuber-turned-boxer, to a boxing match. In an Instagram post, Tommy is seen with his older brother and boxer Tyson Fury, along with Shaqille O’Neal and Tyson’s trainer SugarHill Steward, where they bet money on Tommy beating Jake in a fight.

After seeing the video, Jake took to his Instagram Stories and wrote, “The desperation is seeping through the pores of the Fury family. It’s quite embarrassing. The heavyweight champion of the world is on Instagram talking about Jake Paul, begging me to fight his brother.”

In 2021, Molly-Mae became creative director of Pretty Little Thing. She later stepped down from the position in 2023.

In addition, Jake dragged Tommy’s girlfriend into it. He shared an alleged DM from Molly-Mae that shows her asking Jake if he could show her around when she visits the U.S. Molly-Mae hit back at the YouTuber on X and called the Instagram DM fake. In March 2022, Molly-Mae shared on Instagram that she and Tommy had taken the next step in their relationship and purchased a home together. She captioned her post, “It finally happened…😭 Our NEW CHAPTER!!! 🏠”

The couple moved to a £3.5 million home in Cheshire (over $4 million) following a home robbery at their apartment. On her YouTube channel, Molly-Mae revealed that the couple were away from their home when it was “robbed, ransacked, emptied. You name it.”

7 September 2022: Molly-Mae Announces She Is Pregnant With Their First Child

In September 2022, the couple shared in a joint Instagram post that they were expecting their first child. Their black-and-white video began with a clip of the two giving their final speeches on Love Island, where the influencer told Tommy, “I love you so much, and I can’t wait for the adventures that we haven’t even dreamed of yet.” The video clip then shows Tommy holding Molly-Mae’s growing baby bump.

6 January 2023: The Reality Star Gives Birth To A Daughter Named Bambi

That October, the couple announced the sex of their baby by popping a balloon. Filled with pink confetti, they were excited to share they were going to have a girl.

On January 23, 2023, Molly-Mae gave birth to their daughter, who they named Bambi Fury. In an interview with Loose Women, the boxer revealed that Molly-Mae had always wanted to name her daughter Bambi since she was young.

“It’s a really amazing story to be honest with you. In the villa we were talking about babies and then when we left we were talking about having babies even more. There was only one name for our little girl and it was Bambi.”

He added, “When Molly was young she only ever wanted to call her daughter one thing and that was Bambi. And I’m not going to be the guy to say no so… and I love the name anyway.”

5 July 2023: Molly-Mae And Tommy Get Engaged

In July 2023, Tommy proposed to Molly-Mae in a stunning cliff-side location in Ibiza. The influencer shared a video clip of the special day that showed her walking towards Tommy as he held their daughter. She captioned the video, “Forever. 23/07/23💍😭.”

The following day, the boxer shared a photo of their engagement day. He captioned the photo of the pair kissing while holding Bambi, “To my perfect fiancé… forever wouldn’t be long enough to call you mine 🤍♾️”

4 August 2024: Molly-Mae Announces She And Tommy Have Split

The influencer shocked her nearly 10 million Instagram followers when she announced that she had ended her engagement with Tommy in August 2024. In an Instagram Story, Molly-Mae wrote, “Never in a million years did I think I’d ever have to write this,” she added,

In an interview for British Vogue, Molly-Mae expressed that “the circumstances” of their break-up were a complete “shock” to her. However, she still did not reveal what led to their fallout.

“No one will ever really know what went down apart from Tommy and I, and that’s how we’d like to keep it, for Bambi’s sake.”

Molly-Mae also told the outlet that it was up to her ex to speak about the break-up, as she hinted that it was his mistake to address.

“I do think that he will talk about things eventually. I do think that when he’s ready, like, maybe more will be said. But I think that’s for him to do on his terms,” she said.

Hopes for a reconciliation? Fans were surprised when a video surfaced of Molly-Mae and Tommy sharing a kiss to ring in the New Year. According to The Mirror, both exes attended a New Year’s Eve party thrown by soccer player Luke Shaw where they shared a kiss while people danced around them. A source noted that it was perfect timing as Molly-Mae’s docuseries was dropping the very next month.

“There was already huge interest in the programme, even before the events of the past week. But now there’s likely to be even more people watching,” the source shared.

1 January 2025: Molly-Mae’s Docuseries Will Explore Her Break-Up With Tommy

Neither Molly-Mae nor Tommy have spoken out about the real reason for their split. However, the influencer’s upcoming docuseries, Molly-Mae: Behind It All, sees the influencer finally breaking her silence about their break-up.

In the docuseries, Molly-Mae is heard stating, “We were utterly obsessed with one another. All I ever wanted was to get married. Suddenly overnight, every part of my life changed. The last couple of months have been like the worst couple of months in my life.” The influencer is then seen getting into an argument with Tommy over the phone.
