Monique Samuels has made a highly anticipated return to The Real Housewives of Potomac in its tenth season, appearing as a friend of the show. In recent developments, she has addressed a leaked video of herself, pointing fingers at her ex-husband, Chris Samuels, as the source of the leak.

Monique and Chris first joined the RHOP cast back in 2017 during its second season, staying until 2020 before moving on to star in OWN’s Love & Marriage DC. Their journey on the latter show was brief, lasting just one season before the couple decided to part ways in 2023, ending a marriage that began in 2012. Together, they have three children.

In a recent chat with Angela Yee, Monique opened up about her relationship with Jason Weems, her co-host on a radio show. She shared that they were “great friends” and never socialized outside of work. Jason became a supportive figure during her divorce from Chris, which led to a blossoming friendship that extended beyond their professional interactions.

The conversation with Angela Yee revealed that Monique’s friendship with Jason evolved into an “emotionally connected” relationship, eventually becoming romantic. Monique disclosed, “The reason this video is out there right now is because my ex-husband actually leaked it.”

The RHOP star went on to say that their friendship “turned very emotionally connected.” She then said it “turned romantic.” Monique added, “And the reason this video is out there right now is because my ex-husband actually leaked it.”

She went on, “Like legit, he has been showing this video to everybody, and the biggest question is how did he get it.” Monique added that Chris received the video from a “former friend” of hers.

The Neighboorhood Talk post also includes the video in question. In it, Monique and Jason seem to be on a hiking trail. He’s directly behind her, kissing her neck as she laughs. There’s also a video of the two of them in a vehicle, with her driving while he sleeps in the passenger seat. This seems to be before or after the hiking trail, as they’re wearing the same clothing.
