NBC’s new reality TV game show, Win Win, has been modeled after a U.K. show by the production company Hello Dolly. The U.S. version will be a collaboration between Hello Dolly and Universal Television Alternative Studio. It will focus on 40 contestants in the studio answering trivia questions, with answers based on a nationwide survey. The exciting part is that audiences at home can also get involved by competing through an app.

Prizes can be won throughout the show, for studio and home players. There will be an overall jackpot that can be won at the end of the season. But what else do we know about Win Win?

What Do We Know About ‘Win Win?’

The show was announced earlier this week, although very little information has been given, including who the contestants will be and who will host it. We can tell you what we know about the British game show, which airs on ITV in collaboration with the People’s Postcode Lottery, and is hosted by Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins.

ITV (via The National) gave insight into the prizes. “Prizes are likely to include dream holidays, cars, and once-in-a-lifetime sporting and entertainment experiences,” the statement reads. We can assume that the prizes in the U.S. version will be along the same lines. The statement also shared that the network was searching for “fun” individuals and that trivia questions would be more general knowledge than requiring niche expertise. The answers will reportedly reveal “how we behave and what we think about all aspects of life.”

The jackpot at the end of the season will be impressive. Deadline notes in the British version, the jackpot is around £1 million (the equivalent in dollars is about $1.26 million).

A statement from one of the NBC programming executives offers more insight into the concept behind the U.S. version of the game. “Win Win is a fresh, high-stakes format that delivers on its name by giving viewers and contestants alike the chance to walk away winners,” Sharon Vuong, executive vp unscripted programming at NBC said, per The Hollywood Reporter. “We look forward to partnering with Universal Television Alternative Studio and Hello Dolly to further develop this uniquely rewarding game show for our American audience.”

Hello Dolly co-founders Victoria Ashbourne and Stuart Shawcross also released a statement about their collaboration with UTAS (via The Hollywood Reporter). “We’re excited to be working with UTAS to bring this unique, exciting format to US audiences,” they said. “NBC has a great reputation for launching big, noisy, family-friendly shows, so Win Win should fit right in.”

NBC is indeed expanding its list of game shows. One of its most popular family competition shows is Family Game Fight!, hosted by the real-life couple Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard. This show features families competing for a prize of $100,000. Another NBC game show is The Wall, hosted by Chris Hardwick. It premiered in 2016 and has run for five seasons. Can Win Win enjoy the same success?
