The quest to find Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of Savannah Guthrie, has now stretched into its third week, bringing new details to light about her mysterious disappearance.

On February 16, TMZ reported receiving yet another email from an individual claiming to possess crucial information regarding those responsible for Nancy’s abduction.

This latest email, which continues to demand bitcoin in exchange for insights, stated, “I know what I saw 5 days ago south of the border and I was told to shut up so I know who he is and that was definitely Nancy with them.”

TMZ has urged the sender of these emails to provide more concrete details about the potential abductors. Should these leads result in a breakthrough, TMZ believes the source deserves credit for aiding the investigation and should receive the FBI’s reward.

In a recent development, the FBI increased their reward to $100,000 for any information that results in locating Nancy or leads to the arrest and conviction of those involved in her disappearance.

Still, authorities do not have a suspect.

Over the weekend, other new details in the case emerged, including that a DNA sample has been obtained from a glove found near Nancy’s Arizona home that appears to match the pair worn by the individual in previously released camera footage.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos also told CBS News that investigators believe the clothing and face mask worn by the potential abductor seen in the video were purchased at Walmart.

However, Sheriff Nanos also admitted that authorities remain puzzled when it comes to a motive. He told the Daily Mail, “The motivation for it is where we get stuck, right?”

“Is it for money? I mean, we had the one demand where they asked for money,” he pointed out. “But is it really for money, or is it for revenge for something?”

She was reported missing on February 1 by family members and is described as 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs around 150 pounds; she has brown hair and blue eyes.
