A mere 24 hours after the producers of the Real Housewives of New York reunion series decided to part ways with Jill Zarin, a new face from the franchise has reportedly been chosen to fill her spot.
As reported by Page Six, Dorinda Medley is set to take over the role previously held by Zarin, who is 62.
Zarin was swiftly dismissed from the anticipated series—still in its pre-production phase—after she made controversial remarks about Bad Bunny’s performance during the Super Bowl halftime show.

The production company behind the forthcoming E! series, Blink49 Studios, released a statement to Variety on February 10, saying, “Due to recent public comments by Jill Zarin, we have opted not to proceed with her participation in The Golden Life. Our commitment to maintaining our company’s standards and values remains steadfast.”
This decision came after Zarin faced significant backlash over her divisive views on the Puerto Rican artist’s February 8 performance.
“We all agree — it was the worst halftime show ever. It’s 250 years that we’re celebrating right now in the United States, and I just don’t think it was appropriate to have it in Spanish,” the former TV personality said in a since-deleted Instagram video. “I think it was a political statement, and I’m not taking a side one way or the other. I just do. I think it was an ICE thing.”

Zarin exclusively told In Touch following her firing, “They didn’t even give me a chance.”
“I took it down right away,” she added of the video. “People make mistakes. I’m human.”
