NewsNation’s senior national correspondent, Brian Entin, remains optimistic about uncovering the truth behind Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance.

“From all the information I have and my instincts, I genuinely believe this case will be resolved,” Entin, 40, shared exclusively with Us Weekly on Wednesday, April 8. “I have reliable sources and am aware of the relentless efforts happening behind the scenes. A dedicated task force is on the case, working tirelessly. It’s not just local detectives involved; there are also committed FBI agents who are deeply invested in finding answers.”

On February 1, the news broke that Savannah Guthrie’s mother, 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, had been reported missing in Tucson, Arizona, after failing to attend a virtual church service.

Entin promptly traveled to Nancy’s hometown the following day, dedicating nearly 43 consecutive days to the search. He continues to make frequent visits and is determined to persist until the case is resolved.

NewsNation Brian Entin Reveals What He Would Ask Savannah Guthrie After Covering Nancy Case

Having reported on Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance for over 65 days, Entin hopes to interview someone close to the family. “I would love to speak with Savannah [Guthrie], and behind the scenes, I’ve been working to make that happen,” Entin, 40, shared exclusively with Us Weekly.

“I can’t imagine that at some point there’s not going to be a lucky break,” Entin continued. “The DNA evidence is still being tested. They’re still trying to do genetic genealogy, and that technology is advancing every single day.”

Another point that keeps Entin hopeful is the fact that Savannah, 54, and her family have a $1 million reward for Nancy’s recovery.

“I think there’s either going to be a lucky break where someone’s going to finally do the right thing and call and going to want the million, or the DNA is going to come through,” Entin shared. “One day I’m going to get that call, and it’s going to be like, ‘Race to this location because an arrest is coming.’ I will be on the first flight, trust me.”

At this point in time, Entin firmly believes that Nancy’s disappearance is not a cold case.

“If I felt like it was going cold, I would tell you. I just don’t,” he told Us. “We have the picture of the suspect. Something is going to break. And I know for us, it feels like forever. It’s now been more than two months. But when I talk to these detectives, they break cases five, 10 years later. I don’t think it’s going to be that long in this case, but I do think for sure there’s going to be a break.”
