Kim Kardashian and her oldest child, North West, have pushed back against online comments describing the 13-year-old’s fashion choices as “demonic.”
“No, I’m not demonic, guys. Please stop saying that,” the aspiring rapper said during a recent TikTok Live.
With her hair dyed a striking shade of blue, North told viewers not to make assumptions based solely on her appearance. “Just because I like to dress this way, don’t judge a book by its cover,” she said.
Kardashian, 45, suggested that some of the criticism may stem from North’s black grill and the piercings she wears.
“I don’t understand why you guys connect that with being demonic,” North added while speaking to her audience.
The SKIMS founder agreed, telling her daughter that many people “don’t really get it.”
Kardashian, who shares North, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 7, with ex-husband Kanye West, has previously faced backlash over the way her eldest child presents herself in public.

In August 2025, critics targeted the reality star after North was photographed wearing a dermal finger piercing on her middle finger during a family trip to Rome.
North has also experimented with face tattoos, multiple piercings, brightly colored wigs, corsets and miniskirts.
Kardashian has defended her daughter’s freedom to explore her personal style, while acknowledging how challenging that process can be under constant public scrutiny.
“It’s really hard and really interesting because all the kids are wearing the same things,” Kardashian said during an appearance on “Call Her Daddy” last October.
She explained that an outfit may seem perfectly normal when other children wear it, but draw a much stronger reaction when North does. “My daughter tries to wear it and then I’m like, ‘Okay, we’re never wearing that again.’ Unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world,” Kardashian said.
Even so, Kardashian has set boundaries, including refusing to let North get the bridge piercing her daughter reportedly wants.
