Reality TV star Olivia Attwood has been spotted in London, offering emergency makeovers to those preparing for a big night out.
At the unique ‘Break in Case of Glam-mergency’ booth, Olivia was seen assisting with hairstyles, makeup touch-ups, and providing styling advice to ensure passersby were ready to dazzle.
This pop-up beauty station was set up following research that revealed British women spend an average of 50 minutes getting ready for a night out, with hair preparation being the most time-consuming task.
The study also found that while 41% of women plan their outfit in advance, about a fifth admitted they often change their look multiple times before settling on the perfect one.
Interestingly, many women consider the process of getting ready as one of the highlights of their night out. Olivia, who recently partnered with alcoholic shot brand Tequila Rose, shared her thoughts on this pre-party ritual.
“Getting ready is half the fun of a big night out!” she exclaimed. “I know for a fact I’ve looked forward to the ‘pre-lash’ more than the actual event many, many times. A glass in your hand, belting out some tunes with all your mates, in the comfort of someone’s house-what’s not to like?”.
The study also found that 23% of women enjoy the social aspect of getting ready for a night out with friends, turning the preparation into an event in itself. Additionally, a quarter confessed to enjoying a drink to keep the atmosphere lively as they prepare.
A spokesperson for Tequila Rose commented: “Having friends on hand is perfect, as it’s a time to get together, swap stories, and create inside jokes that will last long after the night is over.
“There’s a unique energy that comes with getting ready as a group-it’s where excitement builds, outfits are finalised, and some of the best conversations happen before the music gets too loud.”
The survey of 2,000 women suggested that the ultimate pre-night out playlist should include classic hits such as Britney Spears’ ‘Toxic’, Destiny’s Child anthem ‘Bootylicious’, and TLC’s empowering track ‘No Scrubs’.
