As Miss Canada United World 2022, Dr. Shara Ally is an inspiration to many.
Our question?
What would she tell those hoping to follow in her footsteps?
We sat down with Shara once again, to hear her advice to young women anywhere, pageant hopefuls or not.
Plus, she gives us insight to what her average day looks like, and what she loves most about what she does.
Shara Starts Every Day With A Healthy Foundation
That Shara has managed to accomplish as much as she has isn’t exactly surprising when one hears how she starts her day, most days.
“I enjoy waking up, having quiet time with a cup of coffee, and looking out onto the beautiful green space curated on my street,” she smiles.
“I’m actually quite a simple person!”
The placid start is just that, though – a start.
Soon enough, Shara gets going – and she shares that it truly is go, go, go.
“If I’m not working, I’m networking, spending time with friends and family, meditating, and watching documentaries.”
But, even with all the hustle, by the end of the day, she’s ready to settle right back into relaxation mode.
“By the end of the day, I’m hitting the gym, then thanking God for a good day over a cup of tea just before bed. Simplicity is underrated, and yet, it brings such delight to my life.”
Keep Dignity As The Cornerstone Of Everything You Do
So, Shara’s key to finding joy in every day lies in keeping things simple – but what about her keys to success in multiple different spheres?

Perhaps unsurprisingly, her advice, there, is pretty simple, in itself.
“To young girls out there, my advice is this: treat yourself with respect and dignity in everything you do, across academics, business, friendships, and relationships.”
“When you treat yourself with respect and dignity,” she continues, “You naturally grow securely into your self-worth that allows you to pursue life’s milestones with confidence – even when it feels scary.”
“That confidence allows you to carry yourself in such a way that you become distinguished in your thought process with regards to knowing what you want in life, and, more importantly, what you don’t want in your life. This type of security is power.”
Shara Looks Back On Her Past, And Muses On Her Present
As a multi-hyphenate who only looks set to reach even higher heights in the coming years, it’s safe to say, Shara’s focus on simplicity and dignity has been effective.
It only makes sense, then, that asked what she’d tell her younger self, she beams that she was on the right path, all along.
“I’d tell my younger self, ‘The pain you went through was specifically designed for you to prepare for the life you have now.”
And what a life it is.
Beaming at the thought of what her day to day now entails, she can’t help but gush over getting to do what she loves.
“The best part of what I do is, honestly and truly, connecting with the people I get to work with.”
“My clients, business partners, and networking opportunities bring me such joy,” she smiles, concluding our chat, “And I thank God that the right people have been drawn into my life.”
Talk about building a dream life!
Dr. Shara has achieved so many incredible feats – but at the end of the day, the most important thing is that she’s happy while doing it.
