Days after Paige DeSorbo and Joe D’Amelio were seemingly caught holding hands in Capri, Italy, where the Summer House alum recently enjoyed a summer getaway with her family, an insider is shedding new light on the seriousness of their relationship.

Over six months after splitting from Southern Charm cast member Craig Conover, 37, the source claims Paige, 32, who was first spotted with Joe in January at a Philadelphia Eagles game, is embracing her romance with Joe after introducing him to her parents.

“Paige has been quietly dating Joe D’Amelio for a while now, and things between them are going really well,” the source told Us Weekly on July 14. “It took a few months for Paige to warm up to being in another relationship again, but she moved on after Craig and is genuinely happy.”

“She’s in a totally different headspace now,” the insider continued. “Joe is a breath of fresh air for her. He’s calm, grounded and much more low-key, which is exactly what Paige needed.”

While Paige has steadily denied that she was anything but single in recent months, the source went on to suggest that Joe had already been acclimated into her life with her family and friends. 

“He’s already met her family, and they really like him,” the insider shared. “It’s a different kind of relationship, and Paige is embracing that. She is having a lot of fun. Friends have seen a different side of Paige and can tell she is really happy right now.”

As for her potential return to the Hamptons, Paige, who announced she was exiting Summer House after seven seasons last month, told PEOPLE on July 14 that she “might take a break from the Hamptons” this year.

“I really haven’t been able to go home a lot during the summer,” she explained. “So, I’m actually very excited to spend a couple of weekends in Albany with my family [and] go to some places that I never get the chance to this summer.”

“I know the vibe. I’ve done it. So, I’m excited to try out new spots,” she added.

Paige also described her time in Italy as the “most relaxing” two weeks.

Summer House season 10 is currently in production and expected to begin airing on Bravo sometime later this year or early next year.
