Shortly after announcing her split, Summer House star Paige DeSorbo addressed a rumor that she ‘ruined’ Craig Conover’s proposal. Around the same time, sources claimed Craig was “alone at a bar” on Snowmass Mountain in Aspen – while Paige rang in the new year with a “new hunk.”

Last week, Paige confirmed that she and the Southern Charm star broke up, explaining that the decision was right for both of them. But a later report alleged that Craig was planning on proposing before the split.

On her Instagram, Paige reacted to a headline claiming she “RUINED Craig Conover’s Proposal.”

“I’m obsessed with all of this fan fiction,” said Paige, via @bravoandcocktails_ on Instagram.

Meanwhile, a fan spotted Craig on Snowmass Mountain in Aspen during a ski trip after the split. In the photo, shared by Deuxmoi, Craig wore layers of warm clothing while holding a cup at a bar.

Fan account Bravo and Cocktails also shared DMs from another source who allegedly spotted him.

“Saw him alone at a bar in Snowmass/aspen,” wrote the source. “He was sipping a tea or coffee in the corner. Smiled. And I left to ski.”

Around the same time, a source told Deuxmoi that Paige allegedly was seen “ringing in the new year” at a NYC social club with a “new hunk.”

A few months before the breakup, Craig was gushing about their future.

“We’re going to get married one day,” he said in an October interview with Us Weekly. “But she’s a really career-driven person and she’s doing great. And I’ve got the business that’s kind of flying right now, so we’re making the best of ourselves before coming together as a team officially.”

“We’re in a great place, and fortunately, New York and Charleston are two awesome places to spend time,” he said. “We just got to put the work in.”

After the split, a source told the same outlet, “Craig was ready for the next steps and had plans to propose to Paige. He was really pushing for the next steps and wanted to settle down with her.”

“Paige initiated the conversation, but they both agreed it wasn’t going to work. Craig was really emotional,” the source went on. “There is still a lot of love between them, but they just weren’t on the same page … [and their] relationship ending was long overdue.”
