Paige DeSorbo addressed getting “fired” from ABC after working for its production company. The Summer House star recalled when her boss told her, “it’s just not a fit,” as Paige revealed how she responded.

The star, 32, has a podcast with stand-up comedian Hannah Berner, her former castmate who was let go from Summer House after season 5. The co-hosts recently wrote a book, “How to Giggle: A Guide to Taking Life Less Seriously.”

“I used to work at ABC. I was fired,” said Paige on ABC’s Good Morning America. “And now we’re here. It all worked out.”

“I worked for the production company,” the podcaster continued. “I was an assistant. I got coffee so good. I was the best at getting coffee.”

But one day, Paige’s boss told her, “‘It’s just not a fit.’”

“And I was like, ‘I get it,’” she recalled. Hannah, who was also in the interview, joked that Paige “cared more about her outfits than answering calls.”

“I was well-dressed in the office,” Paige agreed. “I was the personality hire.”

On a serious note, Paige added, “When I got fired from ABC, I was like, ‘I’ll never work in this town again.’ But things happen, and so I think trusting yourself and knowing things will work out and working hard is really important.”

During a past podcast interview from 2023, Paige stated that signing a contract with Bravo, whose parent company is NBCUniversal, ultimately cost her the job.

“I had gotten fired from my ABC job at the production company… because I technically signed a contract with NBC. And they were like, ‘You actually can’t work here also,’” she revealed on The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast. “But Summer House was like, ‘We don’t care that you got fired.’ They like never even like, covered it.”

Hannah shared how their idea for their podcast was created while filming Summer House.

“It’s funny cause [Paige and I] used to go in the bathroom [while filming] and just make each other laugh and the video guy would always just leave cause it wasn’t part of the storyline,” she explained. “They’re like, ‘This isn’t going anywhere.’ And we were riffing … So our podcast and the book came out of what you didn’t get to see on a short episode, and more [of] our authentic personalities.”

Paige and Hannah also addressed how their new book, “How to Giggle: A Guide to Taking Life Less Seriously,” is now available.

Season 9 of Summer House is currently airing on Bravo.
