Paige DeSorbo revealed why she abruptly exited Love Island USA shortly after she began filming as a guest star, as fans started questioning her departure.

The star recently announced that she quit Summer House, which shocked many viewers, though she has a successful podcast with former co-star Hannah Berner. Earlier this year, Paige faced backlash over her breakup with Craig Conover from Southern Charm.

On her Giggly Squad podcast, Paige shared a medical emergency that forced her to leave Love Island USA shortly after guest‑starring.

“It’s a long filming day, and we started pretty early,” said Paige, via Page Six. At the time, she had just arrived in Fiji, and she wasn’t “acclimated” before heading to the set.

“But I’m fine, I’m not gonna say that,” she went on. “I’m not gonna be a diva. Like, I’m doing a job … The sun starts beating down on me pretty aggressively.”

According to Paige, she felt “uncomfortable,” though she has a “high pain tolerance.”

“I’m really waiting for the last second to tell you, because I don’t want to be a problem. I don’t want to be bothersome,” recalled the 32‑year‑old. “I’m like an hour and a half into filming and I’m like, ‘You know what? Real quick, I’m feeling a little bit queasy. Let me take a moment to myself’ … I throw up.”

Paige said she tried to work despite the sickness, and producers noticed she was “swaying a little bit.”

“I’m not feeling totally normal, but again, I’m not stopping the show that has so graciously asked me to come on,” she added. “I literally sat down [and] passed out.”

A few weeks before the guest appearance, Paige announced her exit from Summer House.

“I have a little life update for you: I’ve made the decision not to return to Summer House,” she wrote in a June 5 Instagram post. “Being a part of this show has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my life — the friendships, the drama, the giggles, all unforgettable. You’ve seen me grow up over these last [seven] summers. I’ll always be beyond grateful for the memories, the community, and the opportunities this wild ride has brought me. But like all good things (and some bad decisions), it’s time for this chapter to close.”
