Summer House fans were shocked when star Paige DeSorbo announced she’d be leaving the reality TV show for good. Since then, Paige has been dedicating her time to her comedic podcast, Giggly Squad, which she co-hosts with her former castmate, Hannah Berner.
In a recent podcast episode, Paige opened up about what the future of her reality TV career might look like. While she’d had a few different invites (and in fact had done a quick stint on Love Island earlier this year), she called out that there was one particular reachout that she wasn’t happy to receive.
Paige Was Asked To Be On Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test
In a recent podcast episode, Paige divulged that she was asked to appear on the upcoming season of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test. The show is a grueling one: celebrities undergo extremely intense military training that is inspired by real Special Forces exercises. The celebs are guided by elite ex-military instructors as they face grueling physical and mental challenges designed to test their endurance, discipline, and emotional resilience.
The show is unique in that there are no actual eliminations. Instead, wearing cast members have to voluntarily quit the competition or be medically pulled from the training. In her conversation with Hannah, Paige joked how she could not be less interested in adding that credit to her TV resume:
I’m like, ‘Are you guys kidding me?’ I was just so mad to get called for it. I was like, “What about me thinks that I would do that show?’
Paige May Have Other Reality TV Competition Ambitions
Though Paige has no interest in military-style training, this isn’t to say that she’d say no to all reality TV competitions. In fact, she went on to brainstorm with Hannah about other shows that may hold her interest in the future. She gave a surprising answer about a completely different skillset that she felt she could master:
But what do I think I would secretly win? Oh, my gosh, like [Great] British Bake Off. I think if I practice, I could win. Give me some fondant, I think I could do it. I feel I could do it.
For her part, Hannah saw Paige having more success in a judging capacity. She said that she could see her friend thriving as a guest judge on a series like Project Runway or America’s Next Top Model. “You judging I think is so good because you’d be funny too,” Hannah pointed out. “I think I could do it,” Paige agreed.
Outside of the TV world, Paige has also been expanding her involvement in the fashion industry. Her longtime fans may know that she recently launched her own line, a sleep and loungewear brand called Daphne, which is named after her cat. She’s also been known to collaborate with other major fashion and beauty brands, hosting Amazon Live shopping segments and contributing to regular style content platforms on the side.
With so much on her plate, it makes sense that Paige would be taking her time to select her next TV project. Only time will tell when we can expect to see her back on screens next.
