Paris attended the star-studded event hosted by Elton John, where she decided to defy traditional black-tie expectations. She arrived in a sheer, daring dress that left little to the imagination, revealing her black underwear and challenging conventional modesty. The gown featured long sleeves and a floor-length design, yet it was the large fur-lined heart cutout on her back that truly made a statement. This bold choice placed her on the list of the 2024 Oscars’ worst-dressed attendees, a rare miss in her fashion repertoire.

Despite this misstep, Paris Jackson’s status as a Gen-Z fashion icon remains intact. Fashion is an integral part of her life, complementing her other interests. In an October 2024 interview with Fashionista, she revealed, “I live in a vintage home that was built in the 1940s. My house, my animals, my clothing, and everything else co-exist beautifully, with lots of earth tones and natural elements.” Her journey with fashion has evolved over time. “It used to be more of a love-hate relationship, but now it’s more love because I’ve learned to balance the industry with my personal life,” she added.
Paris Jackson’s dedication to personal style has been evident for years. In a 2017 interview with Fashion Week Daily, she expressed her aspirations within the fashion world. “I want to show young girls that beauty isn’t confined to a particular size, shape, or color,” she said. “True beauty comes from within, and it’s about self-expression and staying true to yourself, allowing your inner light to shine through.”

Although some of her outfits haven’t landed, fashion is deeply embedded within Paris’ DNA — and it’s even harmonious with other aspects of her life. “I live in a vintage home that was built in the 1940s,” she explained to Fashionista in October 2024. “My house, my animals, my clothing and everything else co-exist very beautifully where there’s a lot of earth tones and a lot of natural elements.” However, she didn’t achieve this overnight. “[My relationship with fashion] used to be more of a love-hate and now it’s more love because I’ve learned how to not let the industry affect my personal life and find a good balance with it,” she continued.
Paris’ commitment to personal style has been prevalent for years. In 2017, when she was still a newbie in the industry, the young starlet spoke with Fashion Week Daily and shared what she’d like to achieve with her fashion. “I want to be someone who shows young girls that you don’t have to be a certain size or shape or color to be considered beautiful,” she explained. “Beauty comes from within, and it’s only through self-expression and staying true to yourself and being able to share your own inner light that shows the world your own beauty.”Â
