90 Day Fiancé star Patrick Mendes made big changes after becoming a first-time father! Ahead of his daughter Aleesi’s second birthday, the TLC personality shared that he was trying out injectables to give his confidence a boost.
The father of one, 34, opened up about the changes during episode 3 of 90 Day Diaries, revealing that his mental health took a hit while recovering from a flag football injury — one that kept him out of the gym and led to weight gain.
“It’s been really hard because I’ve used exercise my entire life really to deal with anxiety or depression,” the former bodybuilder explained during the episode, which aired on TLC on Monday, April 21. “Without exercise, my mental health just doesn’t go to a good place.”
Patrick complained to his wife, Thaís Ramone, about the changes to his body, including the fine lines to his “baby face,” and she suggested Botox injections for a quick self-esteem lift.
“So, who knows, maybe the Botox will give me some confidence even though it’s not going to solve all my problems,” he told the cameras.
Although the salesman was happy with his final results, his brother John McManus joked that he should’ve gotten penile implants instead. “I’m just saying if you’re going to do something, go there, bro. Give it some more girth,” he told him over FaceTime.

Patrick and Thaís, 28, were first introduced on season 9 of 90 Day Fiancé, which premiered in April 2023. Patrick met the Brazilian beauty on a dating app while visiting the South American country to reconnect with his retired father. Although the pair immediately hit it off and Patrick proposed, Thaís told her father, Carlos Roberto, that she was traveling to the United States on a tourist visa — rather than the K-1 visa they had been approved for — sparking major family tension.
With the K-1 visa, Thaís and Patrick had to wed within 90 days of her arrival or risk deportation. After Patrick learned that Thaís father wasn’t aware of their plans, he insisted she come clean about the situation. After many fights, the couple broke the news of their wedding through a video call and Carlos was not pleased. He felt all American men wanted to do was take advantage of Brazilian women.
“How do you have the audacity to stay there all this time, and now you come to me to tell me that you’re getting married?” he asked his daughter via a videocall. Carlos scolded Thaís for not being upfront with their wedding plans “from the beginning” and urged her to come back home to Brazil “as soon as possible” as he didn’t think she should marry Patrick.
Thaís and Patrick ultimately made it down the aisle, and their nuptials played out during an August 2022 episode. In Touch confirmed the 90 Day Fiancé alums tied the knot on February 22, 2022, in Seminole, Florida, according to their marriage license. The pair later welcomed baby No. 1, a daughter named Aleesi, on November 16, 2022.
