Perfect Match couple Joey Sasso from The Circle and Sexy Beasts star Kariselle Snow were together on the new Netflix hit reality dating series from the beginning. Despite Kariselle being sent on a date with Too Hot To Handle’s Chase DeMoor, the couple could not be broken up on the new dating show.
The couple seemed strong throughout the show, no matter what challenges or obstacles they faced. Despite not being named the “Perfect Match” of the show, the last time fans saw the couple in the show, Joey had proposed to Kariselle.
In the series premiere, Sasso and Snow explained in their confessional interviews that they had previously dated, but they were not able to make their relationship work due to various factors, including Sasso’s commitment issues. Since the show ended, Kariselle and Joey have revealed they are no longer a couple. Joey admitted in an interview after the show aired, that he and Kariselle were no longer together and broke up after filming.

8 Why Did Perfect Match’s Joey Sasso And Kariselle Snow Break Up?
Contestants from various Netflix shows including The Mole, Love Is Blind, The Circle and Too Hot To Handle all moved into a tropical haven and went on dates with each other. If contestants don’t meet their match, they will be eliminated from the show.
Joey and Kariselle were one of five couples in The Perfect Match season 1 finale. Despite their on-screen chemistry, the pair could not make it work in the real world. “We both sort of agreed right now we need to step away from each other. That’s for the best, but her and I have so much love for each other,” Joey explained.
Joey added, “She is someone I will always love, always have respect for, and I know we both speak very highly of each other.”
“Relationships in general are extremely difficult and it’s hard to sit here and say exactly what happened because it’s extremely personal between the both of us,” 29-year-old Sasso told Variety.
“We have so much in common, but I just think that we really tried to do everything we could to work on everything. We both had the best of intentions, but we have a lot of differences that separate us with the things that we want and the way that we feel about each other… That chapter of my life is over.”
7 Was Joey And Kariselle’s Relationship Fake On Perfect Match?
When we get invested in a reality TV show couple, and they break up after it ends, we always wonder if they were genuine. Joey Sasso promises that his relationship with Kariselle Snow was completely genuine, but he does understand the naysayers.
“Not being together shows how real it was because, let’s just be completely honest, if we were going to fake it, this would be the time to fake it — while the show’s airing,” he explained. “If you look at shows like ‘The Bachelor,’ it’s not a coincidence that everyone’s engaged, happy and in love, and then six months after the show, every single one breaks up or ends their engagement. I’m not a person who’s going to fake something for a show. I just always try to lead with my best foot forward.”
“We were all just trying to do our best with trying to find the best matches. With me and Kari, it just felt like this was a real opportunity to try to really make things right from the past,” he told AOL. “It makes me cringe when I hear it’s strategy, because you’re dating someone. This isn’t a game show in the typical sense,” he added.
Although Joey and Kariselle did not win the show, host Nick Lachey said the couple reminded him of him and his wife Vanessa Lachey. In an interview with TODAY, the singer and host explained how the start of Sasso and Snow’s romance resembled the beginning of his own relationship with his wife.
6 Francesca Farago Says Joey Was ‘Horrible’ To Kariselle
According to their Perfect Match co-star Francesca Farago, Joey Sasso was rather unpleasant to Kariselle Snow before she ended the relationship.
“He was horrible to her,” claimed Francesca when talking about how Joey treated Kariselle after filming. “It was really sad.” Neither party have replied to this comment.
Joey also has a history with Francesca. “I really wanted to pull her aside, have a one-on-one with her, and just sort of clear the air and let her know that, ‘Look, we have a history, we have a past, I have nothing but respect for you,” Joey explained. “I’m in a new place in my life being sober, and I would love if we could just have a chance to start over again.’”

Joey Sasso told People that although they got along in the Perfect Match villa, their relationship struggled in the real world.
“But here’s the thing, when you’re overseas, you’re in this beautiful village, so romantic, and you’re working on your relationship, you’re working on your future. And when you go back to reality, sometimes things can be very difficult,” he told the outlet.
“They can be very hard. And as far as what went wrong, that’s just something that we like to keep private between us,” Sasso revealed. “She is someone I will always love, always have respect for, and I know we both speak very highly of each other.”
He has no regrets though, “I feel good that since we’ve wrapped the show there hasn’t been any times I’ve been laying in bed going, ‘Why do I say that? Why’d I do that?’” he says. “We took a plunge and it was a great experience.”
4 Kariselle Snow Reveals What Happened ‘Between The Lines’
On March 2, we found out more about Joey Sasso and Kariselle Snow’s relationship in a clip from Netflix’s Where Are They Now?
Kariselle revealed more about her and Joey’s breakup, saying that their relationship was at its peak during the Netflix reality show and later took a downward spiral.“It sucks, cause I wanna be here saying like, ‘Oh my god, yeah, we’re getting married tomorrow or we eloped in Vegas.’”
“I feel like I knew it was over when we were talking about being a power couple. Joey said we were like the next Batman and Robin, and I was like, ‘Who’s Batman?” she explained. “Does this boy really think that I’m like a sidekick? Like what’s going on?”
Kariselle has also released a telling song on all streaming platforms, titled “Between the Lines.” Though she hasn’t yet stated it was written about her relationship with Joey, the timing of the release and with lines like “Don’t tell me that I’m the right person at the wrong time,” and “There you go again, defend your lack of commitment, stepping up when it’s convenient,” was enough for fans to believe that it is her side of the story.
3 When Did Perfect Match Couple, Joey And Kariselle First Break Up?
Kariselle Snow and Joey Sasso had dated before Perfect Match. Kariselle slid into Joey’s DMs after he appeared on The Circle. According to Kariselle, Joey told her he loved her and wanted to marry her but soon disappeared.
“He looked me straight in my face, told me he’s in love with me, literally said he was going to marry me someday and I fell for it,” she explained on the new show.
Kariselle was reluctant to give the actor a chance based on their previous relationship. It didn’t help when Joey humiliated Kariselle during the first compatibility challenge by admitting he’s still not over his ex-girlfriend.

Joey Sasso did give fans a little update on his personal life now that he has split from Kariselle Snow.
“I have dated. I have talked to people. I have had those experiences, but I just don’t want to put that out there for the world.” He also admitted that he probably won’t go on any more dating shows in the future. Kariselle has not spoken about any new relationship, but she has been seen out and about with Perfect Match co-star, Damian Powers.
