Kim Kardashian has come under fire from animal rights organization PETA after she surprised her four children with new Pomeranian puppies as Christmas gifts.

Ingrid Newkirk, PETA’s founder, expressed her disappointment to the Daily Mail, stating, “Puppies are not toys, and it’s unfortunate that Kim did not seize the opportunity to advocate for shelter animals. Instead, she is facing justified criticism on social media.”

Newkirk emphasized the importance of addressing the issue of homeless animals, calling Kardashian’s actions “inexcusably neglectful.” She urged the SKIMS founder to consider reaching out to PETA or a local shelter before bringing another pet into her home.

Furthermore, Newkirk proposed that the 45-year-old Kardashian could begin to make amends by encouraging her children to volunteer at a local animal shelter.

She also recommended that the reality television star contribute by sponsoring a local shelter’s adoption event or funding a “spay day” to help combat the rising number of homeless puppies.

The “Kardashians” star came under fire after she shared a photo of four puppies snuggled up together via her Instagram Stories.

“Each kid got a puppy,” she wrote over the snap.

Kardashian shares four kids — North West, 12, Saint, 10, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6 — with her ex-husband, Kanye West.

Newkirk also called out Kim’s sister Khloé Kardashian, 41, for welcoming a black Labrador puppy into her family.

The Good American co-founder shares a 7-year-old daughter, True, and a 3-year-old son, Tatum, with her ex Tristian Thompson.

Reps for the Kardashians weren’t immediately available to Page Six for comment.

Aside from sharing photos of the puppies, Kim posted an adorable family photo shoot of her kids in their Christmas pajamas from her brand SKIMS.

The Kardashian-Jenner clan also gathered on Christmas Eve to celebrate the holiday with “just family.”

Kendall Jenner hosted the intimate bash at her Beverly Hills mansion for the second year in a row.

Usually, the family gathers with several of their closest A-list pals for the party. However, they decided to opt out of a massive gathering after celebrating Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday party a few months prior, Khloé shared via her Instagram Stories.
