After starring in The Bachelor and The Traitors, Peter Weber joined the cast of another reality show, Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s Destination X. Since the trailer for it premiered and fans learned how much Jeffrey enjoyed torturing the cast, who still loved their experiences, Destination X became the hot new reality show of the summer. That resulted in the fans of Jeffrey’s reality travel competition show wanting to learn more about Peter’s past.

What those same fans couldn’t have known was that Peter would have such fascinating things to say about Destination X. Most notably, Peter exclusively told TheThings why filming Destination X was a more “incredible” and “epic” experience than The Traitors and The Bachelor.

Peter Weber Found Destination X To Be More “Epic” Experience Than The Traitors And The Bachelor

In July 2025, TheThings journalist interviewed Peter Weber about his Destination X experience. During that conversation, Peter was asked to compare what filming Destination X was like to the previous reality shows he’d appeared in. In response, Peter described Destination X as a grander experience than the other reality shows he’s appeared on.

“The most incredible thing that I have done by far. Just so epic in so many ways. So different, so unique.”

Before competing on Destination X, Peter had previously appeared on The Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise, The Bachelor, and The Traitors. As a result, Peter’s comments comparing Destination X to those shows are fascinating.

While still speaking to TheThings, Peter made it clear that filming The Traitors was an amazing experience. However, Peter went on to explain that the scope of Destination X made it stand out.

“The Traitors was so incredible for so many reasons. But, [Destination X] obviously had the game board of going all throughout Europe. You know?”

On top of going to so many gorgeous locales, Peter also explained that he treasured his Destination X experience partially because of what he didn’t do.

During his discussion with TheThings, Peter stated that one of the things that made filming Destination X special was disconnecting from modern technology.

“In today’s day and age, you don’t get a chance to be in your mid-thirties and have a chance to disconnect, have no phone, no social media, no emails, just nothing. And to be forced into this game board. To be able to be so present in a moment of being a little kid again and just playing a game with your friends, and it’s became very competitive and for a great prize at the end, it’s so you don’t get to do that every in everyday life. And, Destination X offered that.”

During the finale of Destination X Season 1, fans saw Peter Weber say that he wanted to win the show for more than just the money. While talking to TheThings, Peter admitted wanting to win the money, but being more concerned about taking something more away.

“Listen. The money obviously would have been incredible. I would have been able to do so much with that. But, I truly meant it. It was way more than the money for me.”

Peter went on to explain to TheThings that failing to win his past reality shows made him really want to prevail during Destination X.

“I just wanted a sense of pride. I think, a sense of accomplishment, specifically with kinda the journey I’d been on up to that point with my experiences on some reality stuff. I never quite felt like I had won, quote, unquote. That word’s different, obviously, in a love-type show or a competition show, but I never felt like I quite got to the top of the mountain in that. And felt like this when I got the offer for this show, and it was like, wow. This is a really cool opportunity. I get to travel, you know, right in my wheelhouse. I think I can actually win this. I felt good going into it. The main driving force to me was just do it and to finally get that w.”

While Peter fell short of his desire to win Destination X, his time on the show definitely showed that he is very capable of winning a reality show in the future.
