Piers Morgan has criticised Meghan Markle after she made yet another podcast appearance on Tuesday, June 17. The Duchess had a candid conversation with British entrepreneur Emma Grede for her Aspire podcast. In this revealing discussion, Markle shared insights into her brief and challenging time as a working royal, aimed at her in-laws with a thinly veiled dig. She stated prophetically that a “lie can’t last forever” as she wants the truth to be revealed about her time in the UK. The Duchess acknowledged that she would not be universally liked, yet she said she still strived for “respect”. Regarding her ambitions for her lifestyle business venture, As Ever, she mentioned she was “going global” and intended to expand beyond jam to hospitality and hosting, in “the spirit of sharing”.

She also commented on the viral video of her and Prince Harry twerking in a hospital delivery suite just before the birth of their daughter, Princess Lilibet, which garnered a lot of negative attention. However, despite any pessimism from critics, Markle shared that clip was a reminder of her “authentic, fun life”, adding that she was “grateful” that she could now share such things on her terms. Morgan disagreed with these remarks and did not hold back with his opinion, labelling Meghan “Pinocchio”. He typed furiously: “Princess Pinnochio whining about people peddling lies. Hilarious.”

In response to the comment from the Talk TV host, his followers shared divided stances. One commented: “This is from the woman who expects us to believe her young children have a vendor’s license to sell produce at a farmers market in California.”

A second remarked: “She wants people to tell the truth? Well, open the flood gates!” While a third added: “Considering she’s ‘living her best authentic life’. Why, after 6 years, is she still dragging the Royal Family into every conversation. One would think she’s realised that’s all she has to merch.”

Others hit out at the controversial TV star, with one writing: “Leave her alone, it’s as if @piersmorgan is obsessed with just trashing her and talking about her.” Another echoed: “You’re obsessed you freak. All because she rejected you.”

A third agreed: “Piers, you really would be advised to drop your absolute obsession with this woman. It does nothing for your reputation and, quite frankly, it’s a bit creepy.”

Morgan recently addressed Markle’s “rejection” of him during a tense clash with one of his Uncensored guests.

James Barr asked: “She rejected you right?” To which a frustrated Piers replied: “Of course, she rejected me, yeah, whatever. It doesn’t really matter…”

James chipped in: “Well it kind of does matter,” as Piers hit back: “Well not really, you think I tried to do what with her?”

The comedian admitted: “I have no idea, I wasn’t there,” as Piers retorted: “Well then why would you say what I was rejected? She asked to have a drink in my local pub, I met her for an hour and a half and went back to my immeasurably better-looking wife. The idea that somehow I was rejected by Meghan Markle is so utterly ridiculous, yet people like you promote these scurrilous rumours.”

James claimed there’s “got to be a reason” why he is so angry with former Suits actress. But the former Good Morning Britain presenter hit back: “I’m not angry with her, here is my thing, I’m angry at the hypocrisy, I’m very angry about the ongoing attacks and the diminishing of the reputation of the royal family and the monarchy.”
