In a surprising twist, Prince Harry’s security situation is being reevaluated, potentially paving the way for King Charles to reconnect with his grandchildren, Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 4. The children have been residing in the United States with their parents, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
Earlier this year, the Duke of Sussex approached the High Court in an effort to restore his taxpayer-funded police protection, but his attempt was unsuccessful. Harry has since maintained that without adequate security, bringing his family to the UK remains too perilous.
Reacting to the developments, Piers Morgan, now 60 and host of Uncensored, suggested that Prince Harry should finance his police protection using his own resources when visiting the UK, delivering the comment in a concise, five-word critique.
The former Good Morning Britain anchor took to social media to express his thoughts on the unfolding situation.
He shared a headline stating: “Prince Harry ‘wins Government review into demand for 24-hour armed police protection.’”
Piers remarked: “Why should UK taxpayers finance this entitled brat’s security when he does zero public duty for this country?”
The presenter then claimed: “He’s made millions from trashing the Royals/Monarchy – he can use that ill-gotten cash for personal protection.”
Prince Harry has been vocal in recent years about his time as a working royal after he and his wife stepped down from their duties in 2020.
In March 2021, around one year after they left the UK, Meghan and Harry sat down with veteran broadcaster Oprah Winfrey where the couple claimed a member of the Royal Family was “concerned” about how dark their child’s skin would be.
The following year the Sussexes released their self-titled Netflix documentary where they detailed the difficulties they faced as working royals.
Harry’s controversial memoir Spare was released in January 2023, which provided insights to life behind closed doors in the Royal Family and disclosed Harry’s struggles with mental health and grief after the loss of his mother.
