Piers Morgan has advised Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to “dial things down” during his interview Bret Baier on Fox News which is set to broadcast later today (March 1). It airs at 6pm EST in the US which is 11pm UK time.

Reposting the trailer for the eagerly anticipated chat Morgan warned Zelenskyy he needs America following the breakdown of talks with President Trump.

“President Zelensky needs to dial things down in this interview…negotiations to end wars are always fraught and he must be exhausted. But his country needs him to get America back onside to help end the fighting. The U.S. remains your best hope for peace/security @ZelenskyyUa,” Morgan wrote.

His remarks came after the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Zelenskyy descended into chaos. The pair and Vice President JD Vance became embroiled in an extraordinary row in as the world’s media watched.

Mr Trump accused Zelensky of “gambling with World War Three” In a series of testy exchanges, Mr Zelensky warned the US would “feel it in the future” if it did not continue to support Ukraine.

“Don’t tell us what we’re going to feel. We’re trying to solve a problem,” Mr Trump hit back.

Mr Trump later loudly told his Ukrainian counterpart: “You’re gambling with millions of people seeing you gambling with World War Three. You’re gambling with World War Three.”

Mr Vance questioned why Mr Zelensky had not said thank you for US aid during the meeting.

Mr Zelensky told Mr Trump that promises of peace from Vladimir Putin can’t be trusted, noting the Russian leader’s history of broken promises. Trump said Putin hasn’t broken agreements with him.

“You’ve got to be more thankful,” the US President told Mr Zelensky. Mr Trump then chided the Ukrainian leader after Vice President JD Vance, one of the administration’s most skeptical voices on Ukraine, said Zelensky was being disrespectful for debating Trump in the Oval Office in front of the American media.

“Have you said ‘thank you’ once?” Vance asked Zelensky.

Zelensky did later express his thanks in a post on X after he departed the meeting.

Taking to the social media site after he was seen leaving the White House, he wrote: “Thank you America, thank you for your support, thank you for this visit.

“Thank you @POTUS, Congress, and the American people. Ukraine needs just and lasting peace, and we are working exactly for that.”

The trailer for the Fox News interivew doesn’t show any clips of Zelenskyy speaking but it promises to go inside the meetng with Trump.
