ITV star Ruth Langsford “could be out of a job”, according to a QVC source. The 65-year-old presenter is currently an ambassador and designer for the shopping TV channel, with her hosting her own live show every Thursday.

However, since the shopping giants are reportedly suffering some financial difficulties, with 900 jobs being cut in America according to USA Today, it is expected that the same could happen in the UK. Rather than relying on its traditional TV channel, QVC is said to be undergoing a significant turnaround, aiming to become a leading force in live social shopping and expand its reach on platforms such as TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.

A source exclusively told Express.co.uk that these big changes could mean that people may be out of work – including Ruth. They said: “A lot of us might need to consider looking for work elsewhere soon as the company keeps considering cuts, and that leaves no exceptions.

“There have been whispers that even some of the celebrity faces might have to go too, including Ruth Langsford. They seem to be looking at an overhaul of the way that things are running, including potentially having a shake-up of the faces of the channel.

“Everything is up in the air for now, so only time will tell what actually happens to everyone’s jobs. While the company seems to have hope in the changes, it is a worrying time for the employees.”

Ruth started working on QVC in February 2017, co-presenting Ruth Langsford’s Fashion Edit alongside Jackie Kabler. She showcases her own clothing range, which includes: “Cosy jumpers and cardigans, smart trousers, tops and dresses. Plus, discover chic accessories and athleisure pieces.”

Both Ruth’s representatives and QVC have been approached for comment.

The star has already faced a difficult year since splitting with her ex and former This Morning co-star Eamonn Holmes. The ITV presenter previously described 2024 as a “tough year”.

Ruth and Eamonn had been married for 14 years when they announced their separation last May. After 27 years together, a spokesperson confirmed: “Their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.”
