Pregnant Shaughna Phillips will have understated wedding and believes she is expecting a boy

Shaughna Phillips has revealed she is is convinced her baby is a boy and is planning on having a ‘small’ wedding.

The former Love Island star, 28, is currently expecting her first child with her partner Billy and, although not engaged yet, the couple have had conversations about their nuptials.

Speaking to OK! magazine, Shaughna said when the big day comes, it will be an understated affair as recently buying a house and preparing for a baby have taught her the value of money.

She said: ‘Getting a house gives a different sense of value for money. I take my hat off to people who spend thousands of pounds on a wedding.

‘Even if I do have a wedding, it is going to be small – it’ll be in the council!’

Shaughna and her partner, who doesn’t want to be in the public eye, are currently staying at her mother’s house and are expecting to move into their home next year. 

Meanwhile, in a column for the publication, Shaughna said she has a feeling her baby will be a boy.

She wrote: ‘I feel like it’s a boy now. I’m not entirely sure why. At the start of my pregnancy journey, I really wanted a girl – but I’m okay with having a baby boy.’

Shaughna added that she plans on having more children and there will be ‘room for two’ in her new house once the refurbishments are completed. 

It comes after Shaughna opened up about her pregnancy journey so far, admitting that while she is ‘feeling a little chunky’, the sickness and first trimester symptoms haven’t been so bad.

Sharing that she already has a baby name in mind, with a sweet reasoning behind it, she admitted that she will name the baby after both her boyfriend and her dad.

Shaughna said: ‘I take my hat off to people who spend thousands of pounds on a wedding. ‘Even if I do have a wedding, it is going to be small’

Shaughna said she has been experiencing slight sickness and even ‘carries a sick bag’ just in case – but otherwise hasn’t been too run down with pregnancy symptoms.

And revealing that she already has baby names in mind, Shaughna plans to sweetly pay tribute to her late father Eddie, who passed away from cancer in 2016.

She told OK magazine: ‘I have two names. If it’s a boy, I’m going to name him after his dad. I’m also going to give him my dad’s middle name, which is Edward, but people called him Eddie.

‘And I have my name for a girl – I’m keeping it a secret because I don’t want anyone to steal it!’ she continued – after admitting she’s hoping for a baby girl.

Discussing the changes to her body since falling pregnant, she explained: ‘I’m feeling a bit chunky. But other than that, I’m OK. I’ve found the pregnancy pretty easy so far. I haven’t had that much sickness.’
