Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s recent visit to Amman, Jordan, on February 25 and 26, has reportedly sparked discontent within the royal family.
According to a source speaking to Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice substack on Friday, February 27, “The palace is livid” about the couple’s activities during the trip.
During their visit, Harry and Meghan participated in a World Health Organization roundtable, visited medical evacuees from Gaza at a local hospital, and engaged with children at a refugee camp through a soccer game.
The source remarked, “It looks like a full-scale royal tour without the permission slip.”

Additionally, another insider highlighted the timing of their trip, occurring shortly after the arrest of Prince Andrew. The insider commented, “It feels like they’re kicking the family while they’re down. Andrew is already a five-alarm fire, and now the Sussexes have sparked their own controversy.”
Andrew was arrested on his 66th birthday on suspicion of misconduct in public office tied to allegations he shared confidential trade documents during his time as a British envoy. It centers on his past association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who died in 2019.
Andrew, however, has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing.
In Touch previously reported that Meghan, 44, and Harry, 41, ruffled some royal feathers during what many dubbed a “quasi royal” trip to Columbia in 2024.
“It’s no secret Prince William and King Charles take issue with them using their titles to advance their personal brand,” a source told In Touch at the time. “But the Duke and Duchess are defiant and clearly don’t care what anyone thinks.”
