Prince William has expressed his enthusiasm for his forthcoming journey to Brazil, marking his inaugural visit to the South American nation.

On Sunday, November 2, he took to the official social media account of the Prince and Princess of Wales to outline his itinerary for the week. His agenda includes promoting his Earthshot Prize and participating in a United Nations Climate Summit, all while exploring Brazil.

“As I prepare to embark on my journey to Rio de Janeiro, I am thrilled to experience Brazil for the first time—its dynamic culture, remarkable biodiversity, and, most importantly, the warmth of its people,” William shared in a post.

Accompanying his message with a scenic aerial view of Rio de Janeiro and its coastline, William expressed his excitement about the events on his agenda. “With global attention focused on Brazil this week, it is the perfect setting to celebrate pioneering climate leadership. The Earthshot Prize offers us an opportunity not just to honor those leading change, but to draw inspiration from them,” he noted. “When we unite with optimism and courage, a sustainable future becomes attainable. Royal Biographer Speculates on How Prince William and Kate Middleton Feel About Prince Andrew

Meanwhile, Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton reportedly hold strong opinions regarding Prince Andrew. According to royal biographer Tina Brown, the couple wishes for the former Duke of York to “fade away” after relinquishing his royal title. Both William and Kate, who are 43, reportedly have little tolerance for Andrew, who is 65, and prefer to keep their distance from him.

The Earthshot Prize is an environmental award launched by the Prince of Wales in 2020 that provides significant monetary grants to category winners with admirable environmental goals.

The positive message comes amid a headline-grabbing week for the British royal family as William’s uncle Andrew Mountbatten Windsor was stripped of his “style, titles and honors” as the former Duke of York, per a Buckingham Palace announcement on Thursday, October 30.

In the hours following the announcement, Us Weekly learned that William had supported his father, King Charles III, in making the decision regarding Andrew, 65, as well as his eviction from the Royal Lodge, in light of his alleged involvement in a sexual assault scandal.

In another Buckingham Palace statement obtained by Us that day, Andrew’s new name was confirmed, as was the decision that “formal notice” was served to him to ensure he would “surrender the lease and … move to alternative private accommodation.”

Royal Family Tree update

In honor of the royal baby’s imminent birth, here’s a look at where Prince William and Kate Middleton fit into Queen Elizabeth II’s royal family tree

The statement continued at the time, “These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he [Andrew] continues to deny the allegations against him.”

Multiple royal experts have suggested that William’s support of the king, 76, is in part due to his wife, Princess Kate Middleton, serving as a source of ongoing issues between William and Andrew.

In the period leading up to the king’s announcement, author Christopher Anderson, who wrote The King: The Life of Charles III, told Us that Andrew “was never welcoming towards Kate” when she joined the royal family.

Did Prince William Really Have a Secret Meeting With Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie

Reports have been swirling that Prince William met with his cousins Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie regarding their father Prince Andrew’s decision to move out of Royal Lodge. However, Us Weekly understands that the meeting never actually took place. Journalist Emily Maitlis — who famously interviewed Andrew, 65, for the BBC’s Newsnight in 2019 — […]

Despite the pair’s differences with Andrew, William and Middleton, 43, have temporarily relocated their family closer to Andrew ahead of his departure from Royal Lodge. According to a Saturday, November 1, report by The Telegraph, the couple moved into Forest Lodge in Windsor Great Park earlier this year.

The report detailed that the couple and their children — Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7 — were scheduled to move from Adelaide Cottage closer to Christmas but early construction got them into their new home earlier than predicted.
