Princess Charlotte is quickly becoming a master of the selfie, charming fans with her willingness to pose for photos.
On Christmas morning, December 25, the 10-year-old royal delighted onlookers during the traditional holiday walkabout with her family. Caught on now-viral videos circulating on social media, Charlotte was seen eagerly stopping for multiple selfies, even as she trailed behind her father, Prince William, and her brothers, Prince George, 12, and Prince Louis, 7.
“Charlotte,” Prince William, 43, gently urged, encouraging his daughter to catch up with the group.
The Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate Middleton, escorted their children to the Christmas service at St Mary Magdalene Church on the Sandringham Estate. Princess Kate, 43, embraced the festive spirit in a chic brown plaid coat paired with a matching scarf and fascinator, perfectly complementing Charlotte’s stylish tan coatdress.
William, George, and Louis, meanwhile, all twinned in dark suits with neckties.
The British monarch, currently Charlotte’s grandfather King Charles III, typically leads the royal family in a walk to church on Christmas morning. Charles, 77, was joined on Thursday by wife Queen Camilla, William’s family of five and his siblings.
Charles’ sister, Princess Anne, arrived with her husband, Sir Tim Laurence, while brother Prince Edward escorted his wife, Duchess Sophie. Edward and Sophie’s two children, Lady Louise and James, Earl of Wessex, were also present, as was disgraced Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, with their respective spouses. Anne’s daughter, Zara Tindall, and her two daughters with husband Mike Tindall were also in attendance. (Mike, 47, and the couple’s son, Lucas, appeared to skip the outing.)

At the end of the church service, Charlotte left the chapel animatedly speaking with cousins Mia and Lena Tindall. Their parents are also famously tight.
“She’s kind of like the big sister William never had,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly in July 2024 about Zara, 44, and William’s friendship. “[Zara is] also very close to Charles and has been a huge help to both him and William during his awful year.”
The insider added, “Zara has been a breath of fresh air. She’s loved by the public as she’s fun and unpretentious.”
Both Charles and Kate were diagnosed with undisclosed forms of cancer in 2024, during which they each underwent treatment. Kate completed chemotherapy that same year and revealed in January 2025 she was in remission. Charles, meanwhile, is set to scale back his own treatment in 2026.

“This is a season when our thoughts turn to celebrations with our friends and families,” the king said in a December 12 video message, offering a rare update on his diagnosis. “Today I am able to share with you the good news that thanks to early diagnosis, effective intervention and adherence to ‘doctors’ orders,’ my own schedule of cancer treatment can be reduced in the new year.”
Charles and Kate had lightened their respective workloads and public appearances while undergoing treatment.
“This milestone is both a personal blessing and a testimony to the remarkable advances that have been made in cancer care in recent years,” Charles concluded earlier this month. “Testimony that I hope may give encouragement to the fifty percent of us who will be diagnosed with the illness at some point in our lives.”
As for the Princess of Wales, she resumed her several public visits and to organize Westminster Abbey’s Together at Christmas carol service, held earlier in December. She even enlisted Charlotte for a surprise piano duet to open the concert.
