Scheana Shay offered an update on where she stands with Katie Maloney on the latest episode of her podcast.

As she also reacted to Katie’s recent suggestion that her wedding to Brock Davies may not have been filmed for Vanderpump Rules had she not agreed to go to Mexico, Scheana, 40, confirmed when they last spoke, admitted to being ready to talk to Rachel “Raquel” Leviss, 30, and reacted to the hospital drama surrounding Gretchen Rossi, 46, on The Real Housewives of Orange County.

“I haven’t seen [Katie] or spoken to her in almost a year. So that’s where we stand, clearly far apart,” Scheana began on the August 29 episode of Scheananigans.

She then reacted to Katie’s suggestion that producers wouldn’t have filmed her wedding if she weren’t in Mexico.

“That’s absolutely not true,” Scheana clarified. “Of course, they wanted her to come because they wanted the drama. It was, like, around her and [Tom Schwartz]’s wedding anniversary. They wanted her to film. They wanted the drama with Raquel and all that, [but] it was ultimately Katie’s decision.”

“Obviously, she doesn’t want to miss out on an episode. As much as they do the flashbacks to what’s still going on in L.A., I think she wanted to be there. She wanted to go to Mexico. She wanted the free cast trip,” Scheana continued. “No one ever wants to be left out of a trip. No one wants to miss money.”

According to Scheana, she missed the trip when Katie and other members of the show went to Lake Havasu for a girls’ trip, but that wasn’t up to her. 

“My wedding was up to [Katie]. No one forced her to go,” she added.

Moving on to her thoughts on Rachel, Scheana said that she would be open to a discussion with her former castmate since “enough time has passed” since her sordid affair with Tom Sandoval, 43.

“We could have a productive conversation now that so much time has passed, but it’s not something I’m going to actively pursue, by any means,” she explained. “Just if one day we run into each other, we do still have mutual friends, if it happens, it happens.”

As for Gretchen’s drama with Tamra Judge, 57, on RHOC, which is focused around the idea that Gretchen claimed to have been hospitalized after their “naked wasted” drama of season four, Scheana, like many, has been left confused.

“I am friends with both. I did just catch up on the episode, and I’m a little confused because the stories were kind of changing,” Scheana admitted. “Gretchen never mentioned anything about this to me. She had said on the show that she never said that she was hospitalized. Then you go to [Katie Ginella]’s interview, and she’s like, ‘This is exactly what she said.’ But then you go to the van and you see Gretchen tell Tamra, ‘Well, yeah, I did go to the hospital.’ But then Gretchen’s interview says that she never went to the hospital. So I’m very confused, and I’m hoping that we get some clarity in the next few episodes.”

According to Scheana, she’s known Gretchen for around 15 years and believes that if Gretchen were truly hospitalized, she would’ve told her.

“But it’s too messy right now for me to try and give my opinion on because I’m still confused,” she concluded.
