During the episode, Bozoma “Boz” Saint John, 48, dismissed the financial advice from Amanda Frances, 40, to Dorit, 49. Amanda criticized Dorit for ignoring her financial situation with PK, 58. Meanwhile, Kyle Richards, 56, admitted to similarly overlooking her financial matters, and Dorit reflected on the consequences of PK’s financial missteps.

“I found out the house was going into pre-foreclosure at the same time as everyone else,” Dorit confessed on the December 18 episode of the RHOBH: After Show. “If you’re going to skip mortgage payments, at least inform me. These issues are public, and I’m left to address them.”

Despite identifying as a “practitioner” skilled in managing finances, Dorit acknowledged she hadn’t been actively overseeing her financial affairs during her marriage.

Although Dorit described herself as a “practitioner,” saying she knows how to handle her finances, she noted that she had not been doing so during her marriage.

“What I’m struggling with is the clarity, because I was not running [the] finances, and I was sort of pushed out of the equation,” she explained.

According to Kyle, she was unaware of the financial strife in Dorit and PK’s marriage because Dorit “doesn’t talk about her financial situation at all.”

“I mean, I could kind of think things weren’t amazing because I know that PK was very upfront with Dorit when they actually met, that I think he had filed for bankruptcy, and he was kind of getting back on his feet again. So one could definitely spectate,” she noted.

“But if you know your man’s not on top of it and he’s filed bankruptcy before, are you not going to keep any eye on things?” Amanda replied.

During the episode, Amanda encouraged Dorit to focus on who she wanted to be and her intentions, which Boz felt wasn’t concrete enough.

“We over here with the woo woo and the wa wa and no practical advice … Because it’s not just going to come because you set your intention to be. That requires action, so give the action steps,” she stated. “How does she actually manage the finances? How does she get ahead of this curve?”

Further speaking of her thoughts on finances, as Dorit’s hardships were addressed, Amanda said she felt strongly about women taking charge of their finances.

“You have to know how much money you have and all the places you have it … it can be uncomfortable for people, and it can bring up anxiety, and people can just delegate it, outsource it to the man and never look at it, but that never goes well,” she explained. “It’s 2025, and we’re responsible for the financial situation we’re in. Truly, you have to keep your eyes on it and have awareness around it.”

“I want women to be empowered around money. It’s as much ours as the person we’re married to even if they made it, in my opinion. I just don’t like people turning a blind eye to that part of their life,” she added.

Meanwhile, looking to her own finances, Kyle admitted she’d often “turned a very blind eye.”

“My American Express app, I still can’t look at it. I would rather walk down Sunset Boulevard naked,” she admitted.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 15 airs Thursdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
