Brooklyn Beckham’s loved ones are reportedly worried he’s “being controlled” by his wife, Nicola Peltz, amid rumored tension with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham.

“Brooklyn is now being referred to as ‘the hostage.’ He is in a situation where those who love Brooklyn fear that he is being controlled by Nicola and it is heartbreaking,” a source claimed to the Daily Mail Sunday.

Concern has allegedly grown in the Beckham circle after Brooklyn shared a bizarre Instagram video of himself and Peltz riding a motorcycle together.

“My whole world x I will love you forever x I always choose you baby x you’re the most amazing person I know xx me and you forever baby,” he wrote in the caption.

“Videos like this are just not what he does. He will be dying inside,” the insider said of the post.

“He’s soppy, and he’s a romantic, but that video just isn’t him. He hates all of that stuff, so you have to wonder if Nicola was behind it.”

However, a source close to the couple exclusively tells Page Six, “It’s sad that someone would take a simple statement of love and appreciation for someone’s wife and try to mock and manipulate it into something that it isn’t.

“It’s just the latest unnecessary and baseless personal attack and hopefully it will stop soon.”

Reps for Brooklyn and Peltz did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.

Rumors of tension between Brooklyn, 26, and his famous family began to make headlines after he and Peltz, 30, were noticeably absent from David’s recent 50th birthday celebrations.

While it was originally reported that Brooklyn’s feud was with his brother Romeo, it was soon revealed that the rift was actually a major family divide.

Last week, a source told Us Weekly that Brooklyn’s parents “felt betrayed” by the young couple after they decided not to attend David’s black-tie birthday soirée earlier this month.

“Victoria and David haven’t called, texted or messaged Brooklyn directly since the birthday party,” the insider claimed.

The source also noted that there is “very deep tension rooted in control and different plans for Brooklyn’s future.”

“Nicola comes from a powerful family,” the insider said of the actress’ parents, billionaire Nelson Peltz and former fashion model Claudia Heffner.

“David and Victoria are used to being in control [of situations like this] and there has been a shift.”

Even though David and Victoria, 51, want to repair the relationship with their eldest child and daughter-in-law, friends and family believe there’s a “long road to mending” things.

Meanwhile, the source claimed that Brooklyn and Peltz’s marriage has grown stronger amid the tension with his family.

“Nicola and Brooklyn are incredibly happy together, dedicated to building a marriage based on unconditional love, caring, support and family,” the insider said.

“It seems this exposure to a healthy relationship has made Brooklyn question his own family and upbringing.”
