Reza Farahan recently made headlines with claims about Jill Zarin’s role in the downfall of “Real Housewives of New York: Legacy.” According to Farahan, Zarin was “proud” that the show’s continuation was derailed due to her involvement. He shared these insights while also recalling past tensions between himself and Zarin, noting that he had been cautioned about her by Bravo.

Reza, now featuring in “The Valley: Persian Style,” worked alongside Zarin on Prime Video’s “The Goat,” a competition series where reality stars vie for the title of “The Greatest Reality Show Contestant of All Time.” This controversy comes on the heels of Zarin’s firing from a new project with former RHONY cast members after she released a contentious video about Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime performance. The RHONY: Legacy project, which fizzled out years ago, allegedly did so because Zarin had asked for a salary on par with that of Luann de Lesseps, a demand that was reportedly refused.
“While we were on ‘The Goat,’ Jill and I were preparing for a competition when she confided in me,” Reza recounted on Page Six Radio. “She said, ‘You know that Legacy fell apart because of me. I insisted on being paid what Luann was getting. They told me I didn’t deserve it since I hadn’t been on the show continuously like she had. I stood my ground for the money,’ and she seemed satisfied that her stance had led to the show’s collapse.”
Reza went on to discuss his own past conflicts with Jill, suggesting that their shared history is marked by tension.
Later on, Reza recalled his own drama with Jill.
“We did The Goat together a few years back. And when Shahs [of Sunset] was in its heyday, she had been fired from RHONY,” said Reza. “And she came out against me and was like saying, you know, ‘Bravo’s gone to the gutter. He’s at a gay bar sniffing armpits.’”
“And [later] I ended up at a dinner party with her,” he went on. “She had to write an apology card and gave me some cookies. So I was like, ‘You know what? Let me give this lady another chance. I don’t even know her.’ And then we did The Goat together and it went left. And I was like, okay girl, everything I’ve learned and I’ve been told about you [was right].”
According to Reza, everyone at Bravo “warned me about her.”
“And I was like, okay, they were all right,” he said. “I thought she was my friend while we were there, and I get that it’s a competition show, but I realized, ‘Oh, not only is she working against me, but she’s in everyone’s ear about me.’”
