Amanda Frances recently opened up about her experiences on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, admitting she was unfamiliar with Jennifer Tilly before joining the show. She also responded to Dorit Kemsley‘s reaction to the anniversary of her son’s death, addressed criticism from her castmates regarding her business, and called out Boz Saint John.

During a recent episode, Sutton Stracke hinted to Dorit that Amanda might have criticized her for speaking ill of her husband, PK Kemsley, amidst their divorce process. Dorit then confronted Amanda, who expressed her unwillingness to discuss the matter because it coincided with the anniversary of her son’s passing.
In a conversation with Decider, Amanda reflected on her initial expectations, admitting she “naively” believed it would be easy to form friendships within the cast.
She also commented on Erika‘s remark about her age and lack of knowledge about Jennifer Tilly. Amanda clarified, “I truly didn’t know, and I mentioned it to Jennifer, who wasn’t bothered at all.” She continued, “I told her this at a party that won’t be aired for a while…Jennifer is now one of my favorite people, even though I hadn’t recognized her initially.”
She then addressed Erika‘s comment about her not being old enough to know who Jennifer Tilly is. “[I didn’t know] and I said that to Jennifer, and Jennifer wasn’t fazed by it,” Amanda stated. “I said it to Jennifer at a party that you guys won’t see for a while now … She’s one of my favorite people, but I just didn’t place her.”
Later on, Amanda reacted to Dorit’s apparent wish to hash out their drama, despite Amanda telling her about the anniversary.
“When she opened her mouth at dinner and I could tell something accusatory was coming at me, my heart started beating really fast and I thought, ‘I can’t do this right now, and I’m not in a place to do this.’ But at the same time, I’m trying to wrap my head around what she’s saying. So I’m thinking, ‘Is she talking about what me and Kyle spoke about? Is she talking about when Jennifer asked me what Kyle and I spoke about?’” Amanda explained. “[Dorit] brought it up twice. I had to tell her twice what the day was. And by the second time, when she kept talking about it, I just felt like I shouldn’t be there. It doesn’t feel respected.”
According to Amanda, her “confus[ion]” about what Dorit was talking about comes up “over and over” again throughout the season.
“I went to Kyle’s. I heard these things. I went to Kathy’s. They asked me what me and Kyle talked about, what I thought, we had a real brief conversation. We all kind of agreed that this could maybe cause issues for [Dorit], but it wasn’t like, ‘She shouldn’t be doing this. How dare she?’ [Then] Sutton says, ‘I agree.’ And then Sutton tells Dorit,” Amanda shared. “I mean, you’ll see me explain over and over, ‘I wasn’t talking about you. I had nothing bad to say about you.’”
Amanda said Dorit didn’t reach out after the party or after it aired. The newbie was also “flabbergasted” by castmates shading her business.
“I have a 15-year career of creating and selling digital courses, online training programs on various things and people loving their results. On every single sales page, there are hundreds of testimonials,” she said. “I did a post this morning because I’m working on a new project, and I wanted to kind of crowdsource some feedback from my audience on what is the most important lesson you’ve learned from me. There are hundreds of comments from people saying, ‘This course changed my life.’ … The fact that we can’t handle a woman being successful.”
“When me and Boz and Dorit went to lunch [earlier in the season] … we talked about my business a little bit. She seemed to very much understand it,” said Amanda. “Then in the confessional, it was a frou-frou mess. And I’m like, ‘You said Amen to me as I gave your friend [money] advice. What was that?’”
