Dorit Kemsley recently addressed an Instagram comment made by her husband, Paul “PK” Kemsley, following the latest episode of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” The comment sparked reactions from several of their co-stars and friends.

During the episode, PK, aged 58, found himself under scrutiny as Bozoma “Boz” Saint John, 49, accused him of being hypocritical. Meanwhile, Kyle Richards, 57, conceded that PK’s actions were inappropriate, and Rachel Zoe, 54, shared her insights on dealing with broken trust. In response, Dorit, 49, delved into the circumstances that led to PK’s comment, reflected on his public displays of affection with other women, and contemplated the chances of their reconciliation.
Dorit explained the context behind PK’s remark during the February 26 episode of the “RHOBH: After Show.” She recounted a New Year’s trip to Paris, where she met friends, including the head of Hermès. “I bought a mini Kelly and took a picture at Hermès,” Dorit shared. “He posted it, I posted it, and then PK commented, ‘The girl who fell in a Birkin and never came out.’ It wasn’t funny; it was a dig. And by the way, that’s the only communication he’s had.”
Boz expressed her disbelief over PK’s public remark. “Why would you put something like that under your post, publicly?” she questioned. “If anybody needed proof that Dorit is taking the high road and he is not, this is just another example, more evidence. Why is he complaining about you discussing him, yet he’s willing to do that? Let him show his true colors.”
“Why would you put something like that under your post, publicly?” Boz wondered. “If anybody needed proof that Dorit is taking the high road and he is not, this is just another example, more evidence … [And] why is he complaining that you’re out here talking about him, but he’s willing to do that? … Let him show his true colors.”
After Erika Jayne, 54, recalled an interview in which PK suggested that Dorit had become more materialistic since joining the show, Kyle said, “He should never make a comment like that on Dorit’s page.”
“That’s what got me in trouble this summer. ‘I don’t think you should speak against him. It’s gonna make him retaliate.’ Because remember last year when she talked about the drinking thing, and then he sent that message when we did the reunion, and things went downhill,” she stated.
When it comes to her relationship with PK post-split, Dorit said it’s “much harder than it needs to be,” as Rachel described the lingering tension as poison.
“What I realized at some point is that the anger … the anger and the resentment of the mess of it all … releasing that is the most amazing feeling because all it’s doing is hurting us when you hold it … it’s poison,” she stated as Boz pointed out that releasing it didn’t mean forgiving all.
Declaring that she was a new Dorit with the new year, she vowed not to let “that toxic energy absorb [her].”
“And don’t forget, a year ago I had to see him outside, not only outside, on full display. Do you know what that was like, the knife in your heart and your stomach?” she asked, giving a nod to PK’s outings with other ladies.
During another moment of the RHOBH: After Show, Dorit admitted to once thinking she and PK could get through anything “until the trust, the respect, started to go down the toilet.”
As for whether she’d reconcile if PK apologized, Dorit confirmed she’d “have a conversation.” That said, she doesn’t believe PK has it in him to grovel.
“I think even if he felt it, he will never ever, he cannot do it. He will go the other way and ruin his life … and that’s the thing that kills me,” she stated.
Then, after Boz said that cheating would be a deal-breaker, Rachel recalled opening up to her castmates about her and Rodger Berman‘s since-ended relationship.
“My ex has known from ‘hello’ that broken trust to me is broken everything. To your point, this was done,” she declared. “[His affair] was not the reason it ended. I was done. I had left, but two weeks prior, he had pledged undying love and was trying to keep us together. The anger is because of the disrespect and the disregard for the family, and so I knew in that moment that the trajectory of how we as coparents, how that was impacted and moves forward, so that’s the difference and that’s the venom and the poison for my body.”
Rachel then said Rodger was “not a bad man and signaled his decades of loyalty.
“In the 34 years that we were together, he didn’t look at another girl, up until even that summer, to the point where there’ll be 20 hot girls that walk by. He doesn’t even look up from his phone. That’s the thing I have to keep very sort of real and honest, but I also have to be honest about the man that he became over the last eight years was not someone that I wanted to be with,” she reasoned. “But I will say, regardless of anything, once trust is broken for me, I can’t get back because if you can do that, you can do it again, and you probably will.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 15 airs Thursdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
