Amanda Frances recently shared insights into her complicated relationship with Rachel Zoe during a podcast interview. Reflecting on her early interactions with Bozoma “Boz” Saint John, Amanda, a 41-year-old newcomer to the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, noted the similarities she shares with the 49-year-old marketing executive. Despite this, her recollections of Rachel Zoe’s previous television series, The Rachel Zoe Project, cast a shadow over their current dynamic.

During the March 19 episode of Reality with The King, Amanda admitted that although she wasn’t a fervent follower of Rachel’s show, it did catch her attention. “I was never like a diehard fan of her show or anything, but I did watch it,” she confessed. Living in Dallas, Texas, while attending grad school, Amanda would occasionally join her art school friends to view The Rachel Zoe Project during weekly watch parties.
She explained that at the time, Rachel was somewhat of an icon among her peers. “Everyone my age looked up to Rachel,” she said, “thought she was amazing, could quote her little lines.” This admiration made the negative depictions of Rachel on the show particularly painful for Amanda, especially considering her co-star had been cordial to her face throughout their interactions in season 15.
āI was never like a diehard fan of her show or anything, but I did watch it,ā Amanda revealed on the March 19 episode of Reality with The King. āAs a young woman living in Dallas, Texas, in grad school, I had some close friends who were in art school who met to watch her show every week ⦠and they would invite me over to watch The Rachel Zoe Project.ā
According to Amanda, everyone her age looked up to Rachel, āthought she was amazing, could quote her little lines,ā which is why she felt extra hurt to see the negative things about her on the show.
āMy feelings are hurt. What makes me have a visceral reaction right now and feel really sad is I found out that someone I consider to be iconic didnāt like me by watching the interviews,ā Amanda explained, getting emotional. āRachel was nice to my face 100 percent of the time until the reunion. She never said one negative thing, one skeptical thing, one cynical thing, one questioning thing, until the reunion. She was 100 percent nice to my face 100 percent of the time.ā
āI found out she didnāt like me from watching the show, and my feelings are hurt about that,ā she added. āThat f*cking sucks, to find out someone who the whole world looks up to, you know, is looking for the worst in you.ā
Amanda then said that because Rachel is Rachel Zoe, no one tried to dig up dirt on her.Ā
āNo oneās trying to figure out the bad in her. She is established. She is iconic. We all know who she is. Weāre just gonna be thankful for her little, cute one-liners because itās funny and comic relief. Thatās why she was loved on her last show,ā she reasoned, admitting that Rachel may have been swayed by groupthink.
āMaybe itās a little groupthink-y. I donāt know,ā she said.

During another moment of the podcast, Amanda spoke of Boz.
āBoz, Iām not super clear on,ā Amanda admitted, via Bye Wig Hello Drama on X, explaining that she believed Boz was dependent on a man after the death of her late spouse, Peter Saint John.
āShe said he died and she didnāt know what to do financially when he died ⦠or at least thatās how it sounded to me,ā she noted.
Moving on to Bozās suggestion that she was a scammer, Amanda said, āI want everyone to watch the reunion for what she says about that ⦠I canāt spoil what she ends up saying about that.ā
While Amanda and Boz didnāt end the season in a good place, Amanda confessed to liking her castmate āin so many moments.ā
āThe day we met, we quoted Bible verses back and forth to each other about abundance ⦠we were talking about manifestation from a very Biblical place before [Dorit Kemsley] got there, and I was like, āMe and this girl are going to be fine.ā We both say, āPraise the Lord,ā to sh*t all the time,ā she recalled. āI think in some ways, she does understand me a lot. I think sheās very into mindset. I think she knows mindset is a really, really big deal. I think she decided to get stuck on the manifestation part. The word manifestation instead of the fact that both of us believe very similar things about being connected to God, or whatever we want to call it, to create a wonderful life.ā
āI think we donāt have that different of views,ā she added.
