Alexis Bellino recently addressed Heather Dubrow’s “strange” reasoning for missing her wedding to John Janssen. The former star of “Real Housewives of Orange County” expressed skepticism about the authenticity of her friendship with Heather, suggesting it might merely be a “work friendship.” Alexis also voiced her belief that none of the current cast members are “truly friends.”

Earlier this year, Alexis tied the knot with John Janssen, who previously dated fellow cast member Shannon Beador. Heather, who maintains friendships with both Alexis and Shannon, opted out of attending the nuptials. She cited a scheduling conflict with a parents’ weekend and acknowledged the complexities of her relationship with Shannon as contributing factors. Heather also mentioned that she and her husband, Dr. Terry Dubrow, don’t socialize with Alexis and John as a couple.
During an appearance on the podcast “Reality with The King,” Alexis shared her thoughts on Heather’s justification.
“I watched it, and it left me a bit confused,” Alexis remarked. “I haven’t reached out to her yet, but it’s puzzling because we’ve had dinner with them multiple times. I assumed our friendship was more than just professional. Her explanation felt awkward to me.”
“I saw it, and I’m a little perplexed by it,” said Alexis. “I haven’t texted her or reached out yet. But it’s funny because I don’t understand it, because we’ve gone to dinner with them several times. And I guess maybe it’s a work friendship, but I didn’t think it [was]. I thought we had a deeper friendship than that. But it’s kind of an awkward answer she gave.”
“A couple Watch What Happens Live [episodes] ago, when she was trying to get me on the show, she said, ‘Well, I talk to Alexis more than I talk to Shannon.’ And now all of a sudden she’s filming with Shannon and I’m not filming, but we still just texted a couple of days ago — and a couple of days before that — and then she wished me well on my wedding day, or right after,” Alexis went on.
She continued, “I have to get to the bottom of that. But yeah, it’s awkward and weird. And she was very excited … when she found out we were engaged. I even asked her if she wanted to sing [at the wedding]. She was like, ‘Oh my gosh, that was too stressful at Tamra’s wedding, I don’t want to do it again.’”
Later in the episode, Alexis hinted at why certain castmates are acting differently.
“I think what they’re doing right now is they know that season 20 is a big season, and there’s been rumors that there’s going to be a huge recast,” she said.
Alexis added, “I think what the women are doing is figuring out exactly who they want to work with next year, and they’re trying to build that cast on their own by saying, ‘Okay, I’m gonna ice this person out because we don’t want her … and we’re all going to act like we’re friends.’ By the way, none of them are really friends.”
