Heather Dubrow confirmed she sent an article about Katie Ginella’s custody situation to Emily Simpson, who later exposed it at the Real Housewives of Orange County reunion. Heather also shared more details behind the story and shaded Gina Kirschenheiter for revealing her involvement, as fans reacted.

Last reunion, Emily shocked fans by exposing Katie’s heartbreaking custody situation at the reunion. Recently, on an episode of Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen questioned why Gina didn’t call out Emily for digging into Katie’s past. In response, Gina claimed it was Heather who researched the info and told Emily.

In a comment shared by @commentsbybravo on Instagram, Heather reacted to Gina’s interview.

“Let’s set the record straight,” wrote Heather. “First of all, I do not research anyone. That is not my MO. I do not have time or interest to try to dig something up on other people.”

But Heather admitted to sending the info to Emily.

“For the reunion last year, there were a lot of stories in the media circling about Katie, and some of us were sending them to each other because it was overwhelming and crazy,” said Heather. “I did in fact send the article about Katie’s custody to Emily.”

“I did nothing more than that, and I would never have brought this up at the reunion,” Heather insisted. “I actually went up to Katie during the commercial break and said to her… ‘This must’ve been a very difficult time for you. I’m sorry you had to go through that. I never would’ve brought this up.’”

But Heather maintained her claim that “kids and careers are off-limits.”

“Not really sure why Gina chose to include me in her response on the show or make it sound salacious,” she said, “but it was not.”

Fans then reacted in the comments.

“If kids are ‘off limits,’ why did she send the article to Emily?” wrote one user. “Because she knew Emily would do the dirty work.”

“So… she, Heather, did exactly what Gina said she did and then she wrote a paragraph saying she didn’t do it?! Then apologized to Katie for something she said she didn’t do?” asked another.
