There has been much talk about The Real Housewives of Miami as season seven continues to air. One of the most significant sticking points is how many believe Adriana de Moura should be promoted to full-time. Now, she’s weighing in on the matter, discussing her issues with Scheana Shay and Marysol Patton, defending Guerdy Abraira, and more.
Regarding Adriana’s disdain for Marysol, she has recently accused her of leaking harmful stories to bloggers who report on the show. Adriana also suggested on a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live that Marysol has Borderline Personality Disorder.
The latest is Adriana interviewed with Decider to discuss The Real Housewives of Miami. The interviewer began by reiterating what many fans have said, which is that she should be full-time instead of only a friend of the show. When asked if this is something she hopes happens, Adriana said, “Well, I would be honest if I said I’m happy being demoted.”
She continued, “Who’s happy being demoted, ever? I thought I was such a seminal part of the show, and I always brought it, love it or hate me.” Regarding why Adriana believes she was demoted, she explained, “I think my life circumstances changed, and perhaps they were concerned that I wouldn’t be able to bring enough on my own, but I think I proved them wrong otherwise.”
As fans know, Adriana also became somewhat friendly with Captain Jason Chambers, but now she’s blaming Vanderpump Rules alum Scheana for getting in the middle of their budding romance.
When asked about this and what happened with them, she said, “No, nothing really happened – and I said that nothing really happened. I wasn’t shading him. I was just saying the truth. He came over to my house a couple of times. One night I cooked for him, and the other night we went out to a Brazilian place.”
She added, “I had a good feeling [about] it. I think that girl Scheana [Shay] got in the middle, because I said it at the filming [for BravoCon Live]. In the van, she was already texting him and spinning it in a different way. By the time it got back to him, it was said in a negative way. But that’s not how I meant it. I meant to say, ‘Well, we had a good time.’”
From there, the interviewer mentioned the yacht trip and how Adriana was “overserved.” When asked what watching the scenes back was like, she said she “didn’t remember half of it.” She then said she was “a little petrified” because the things she said weren’t “very nice.”
She then explained, “I think I was bottling in a lot of emotions because I felt like Marysol was gunning for me from day one since we got back together for season seven. Like excluding me from scenes and really not allowing me to film, and then I’m including them in my scenes.”
Adriana went on, “And I thought we were good in a way. We weren’t about to be besties again, but we were good. So, I was surprised, and I was very triggered by somebody saying, ‘I refuse to be on the boat with you.’”
She added, “I was confused and I was hurt and triggered and overserved and one thing led to the next.” This led the interviewer to ask for Adriana’s response to Julia saying she’s not a fun drunk like Marysol. She responded by first comparing Julia to a polyp and then stated, “Like seriously, how can you be more up somebody’s butt.”
Regarding whether Julia Lemigova‘s friendship with Marysol and Alexia Nepola was the main reason for their fallout, she said, “I think the straw that broke the camel’s back was what happened when I wasn’t there – when Julia threw the glass of water on Guerdy at Marysol’s 10th wedding celebration that I wasn’t invited to.”
She went on, “I was asked to have a position [and] I wasn’t present. I don’t like making very decisive opinions based on something that I wasn’t there [for]. I was trying to be friends with both of them, and I was trying to bring them together. My position at that time was more of an altruistic position, saying, ‘How can we find a middle ground and move on from this?’ That was my position. I don’t think Julia was happy with it. That started to be the point of contention.”
The conversation then shifted to Guerdy, highlighting how the ladies failed to grasp that her display of text messages was far less severe than throwing a drink.
When asked why she felt this was, Adriana said, “Because some of these girls have this mob mentality, meaning you have to just agree with whatever the mastermind is telling you. I’m not like that. I use critical thinking. I’m a very educated person. I like to make assumptions that are based on evidence and are based on warranted arguments.”
She then said, “I do believe that receipts on a wall – perhaps it wasn’t the best time, but to me, is a lot less aggressive than getting a glass [of water] thrown in your face.” Adriana was then asked why she didn’t believe Julia’s apology to Guerdy. According to her, “I believe that Julia is the worst actress out of all of us.”
She continued, “That wasn’t very convincing. She’s not getting an Oscar for that performance, darling … It was so rehearsed and memorized and awkward. It was very awkward … She apologized, but then two minutes later, she’s saying, ‘Well, Guerdy is the worst narcissist.’”
Adriana went on, “Then the next question [asked] who Martina likes the least, and it’s me. So I’m like, ‘You just apologized, but then you threw her under the bus, and then you threw me under the bus. So what is this apology about?’”
Adriana also said that she probably wouldn’t meet up with him again because of how things ended.
