Stephanie Shojaee reacted to Alexia Nepola and Marysol Patton‘s decisions to skip her private plane ride to Marabella, Spain, after Thursday night’s episode of The Real Housewives of Miami showcased the snub.
As Alexia, 58, and Marysol, 58, expressed confusion over why she was so upset with them, with Alexia instead signaling Julia Lemigova, 53, who was asking a friend to be the godfather of her and Martina Navratilova‘s sons, Stephanie, 40, said she felt betrayed and stabbed in the back by her co-stars.
“I was so heartbroken. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced something so deep with a friend,” Stephanie admitted on the August 28 episode of the RHOM: After Show. “It’s like you plan your kids’ birthday party and you want all the friends of your child to come, and then you’re ending there with your kid, and his friends didn’t show up. That’s how I felt … I felt so betrayed.”
Meanwhile, as Alexia said Stephanie’s reaction made “no sense” and insisted she didn’t think she’d be offended,” Marysol said she knew Stephanie would be hurt because her private plane “is like a badge of honor.”
“There’s nine of us. Two people missed the flight. You still have seven friends to take on your plane. Why are you getting mad at us?” she wondered as Larsa Pippen, 51, noted that the getaway cost Stephanie $40,000.
“They could’ve handled it better. They definitely could’ve called [Stephanie]. They could’ve had a conversation with [her] and explained what they were planning on doing,” she reasoned.
Looking back. Alexia said she was worried more about impacting Julia, who admitted to wishing she and Marysol could’ve joined before changing her tune.
“I have to think of my boys. I have to think of the trip. Stephanie organized her plane. We’re on a schedule .. So no, I wasn’t bothered,” she explained.
While Stephanie’s initial hurt came from Alexia and Marysol, she ultimately became upset with Julia, who suggested she’d mistreated their castmates.
On the RHOM episode, Stephanie snapped at Julia for her statements about Alexia and Marysol and reminded her that she was doing a good thing by spending her hard-earned cash on their getaway.
“Julia could’ve stepped in and tried to ease the situation … instead, you’re like, ‘They feel you’re gonna leave them stranded and your rules suck,’” Stephanie recalled. “Marysol stabbed me in the back, [but] Julia stabbed me in the back and the front, [and] all over my face.”
Still, Julia felt that it was Stephanie who was out of line, concluding, “If I invite somebody somewhere, I’m not gonna rub your nose, saying, ‘I gave you this, I took you on the plane.’”
The Real Housewives of Miami season seven airs Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
