Guerdy Abraira looked back on her decision to showcase Julia Lemigova‘s text messages at her Celebration of Life party while appearing on Watch What Happens Live on Wednesday night.
As she confirmed whether she had regrets, reacted to Stephanie Shojaee, 40, labeling her a grudge-holder, and hinted at a double-standard between Larsa Pippen, 50, and Lisa Hochstein, 42, the 47-year-old Real Housewives of Miami star announced her new book and revealed why she’s still rocking a bald head while in remission.
On the July 23 episode of WWHL, after being asked if her decision to share Julia’s texts was messy or justified, Guerdy admitted it was “a little bit of both.”
“First of all, there was two portions of my party … The first part was giving the flowers to my family, of course, and thanking everyone and talking about my testimony, and thereafter, I said goodbye to my family and then I had the afterparty, where I knew this was the right time, and I decided, ‘Yeah, if not now, when?’” she explained. “[And] did [viewers] see the full thing? You didn’t. There’s a lot of context there.”
According to Guerdy, her decision to put Julia on blast was “about [her].”
“I want to sleep at night and I want to release what no longer serves me, and that’s the truth and that’s what I did,” she stated.
Looking back, Guerdy noted that the cast gave her more heat for the text drama than they did to Julia when she threw water at her during a past confrontation.
“There was complete silence and admiration [for Julia], I guess, for what happened, and then at my party, all the sudden, people are passionate and have emotions. So I wish that same energy would’ve been had at the wedding chaos,” she admitted.
While Guerdy has been accused of holding a grudge over Julia’s water toss, she explained that wasn’t the case. Instead, she signaled her past pact with Julia, which Julia violated.
“We had a pact where she initiated we will not share anything with the group again, and here she goes at [Alexia Echevarria‘s] narcissist party, raising her hand and again exposing our details of our conversation and victimizing herself again. It was once, twice, three times, not happening,” she shared. “Also, she apologized for throwing the water, but she didn’t apologize for the lies that she told about the cruise, about the Zoom, so note that.”
Moving on to Stephanie suggesting she was a grudge-holder on an episode of WWHL earlier this month, Guerdy insisted she tried “to move forward” with Julia multiple times.
“But then it comes to a point where someone’s gonna play in your face and disrespect you, you have to set these boundaries, and this Guerdy 2.0 is not taking any mess from anyone anymore,” she reasoned. “It’s her option, but I think there’s a lot of things that she doesn’t know.”
As for Larsa wanting Lisa to unfollow her ex-boyfriend, Marcus Jordan, 34, Guerdy said there will be more addressed surrounding the topic at the reunion.
“I think I’ll let Lisa answer that at the reunion, but it’s a double standard there that is completely qualified … you’ll see. Wasn’t Larsa still talking to [Kanye West] after their breakup, with [Kim Kardashian]?” she asked. “A double standard, maybe? I don’t know.”
Also on the live broadcast, Guerdy confirmed the upcoming release of From Trauma to Trophies.
“It’s out now for pre-order on Amazon.com. And in November 2025, it’s gonna be hardcover, baby. Preorder now,” she encouraged.
Later, while appearing on the WWHL: After Show, Guerdy explained why she’s still rocking her bald head.
“There’s a reason behind it. People are like, ‘Put on a wig, girl!’ I’m like, ‘I get hot flashes every 20 minutes.’ And it’s a long story, but Russell loves it. He likes it, I love it,” she declared.
She then shared how her friendship with Larsa evolved after season six.
“I made a proactive decision and decided to classify this relationship with her and say, ‘You know what? Larsa is fun, and we’re having fun, and we’re out with the girls.’ So Larsa is my good time girl. And so when I see her, I’m like, ‘Hey girl, hey,’ and we just have fun. Long conversation, deep conversation, we’re gonna curb that and we’re just gonna stick to the fun,” she stated. “And that’s okay.”
The Real Housewives of Miami season seven airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
