Gia Giudice marked her triumphant Special Forces win earlier this week with a celebration in New York City, joined by her Next Gen NYC colleagues and her uncle, Joe Gorga.
Her mother, Teresa Giudice, known from Real Housewives of New Jersey, aged 53, shared that an unexpected event led to a recent reunion with Joe, 51, and Melissa Gorga, 46. Meanwhile, Gia posted a series of photos from the party on Instagram, receiving warm comments from her aunt.
“I adore my team … had the most incredible night celebrating the Special Forces season finale at Dave and Busters … I’m filled with joy and love … love you all,” Gia, 24, expressed in the caption of her November 24 post.
The slideshow showcased Gia alongside her mom, her boyfriend Christian Carmichael, her Next Gen NYC co-stars, Joe, and other relatives.
“Only the strong survive! So proud of you!” Melissa wrote.
Then, as Gia responded with a couple of emojis, including a red heart, Teresa added, “Lovvvvve you.”

Meanwhile, speaking of the family’s reunion on a podcast, Teresa shot down the idea that she made amends with the Gorgas for publicity.
“We reunited way before BravoCon,” Teresa clarified on the November 26 episode of the Undressed with Pol’ and Patrik podcast, via Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea. “I think it’s been, like, over a month or something. I can give you the exact date if I look at my phone, but it’s been a minute.”
“Some people were saying, ‘Oh, it shouldn’t be done for the press.’ It wasn’t done for the press. It was done for us. And anyone that knows me knows the truth. I wouldn’t be doing it for press or TV,” she continued.
According to Teresa, Gia is especially excited about the reunion.
“Gia, she’s so happy,” she noted. “My brother’s her godfather and they were really close and she even said, ‘I got my best friend back.’ She adored my brother.”
Looking back, Teresa said that her decision to mend her relationship with the Gorgas came about as a result of conversations she and Gia had before filming Special Forces.
“We had a few days before in Marrakech. She was like, ‘Mom, let the past go’ — with her dad [my ex-husband, Joe Giudice]. She was referring to her dad. Because I have a lot of resentment there. She was like, ‘Let the past go.’”
“So as I’m thinking, I go, ‘I think I’m gonna let things go with my brother,’” she continued. “I didn’t tell her then, but the milling, right before the milling, that’s why I [dropped] out is because I wanted to show her … first of all, I could never see her fight because then I would have jumped in. And then I didn’t want her to see me fight.”
“Also, I wanted to show her I was done with the fighting,” she added. “That part, I wouldn’t have been able to handle well watching her get hit at all.”
